My dearest Kat,I know you can get back on track and posting on Paige's thread IS a great way to get started!!Try subtley(sp???) making going with the flow be your plan. In other words stick to your plan and make it look likeyou are going with theflow! If your plan was chicken breast with veggies for dinner and everyone wants to go out, go with a chickand veg dish out. All cuisines have them. If italian just ask for it with thepasta on the side instead of mixed with the chicken, mexican go w/fajitas, chinese cashew chickem...Thepoassibilities are endless in how you can adapt your plan to going with theflow! Glad to see you around, going to OH next weekend??

Going with the flow when I go out to eat is much easier (to order healthy) than when my daughter and sil brought in cookies, ice cream, candy, etc.  That is the ONLY reason I am glad they have moved into their own place, well that and our $400 electric bill...lol...

Thanks Meggie.  I didn't plan to go to OH and I really do hope you and everyone else have a great time.

I did okay I guess.  The days kinda ran together for me.  We went out to a club Sat. night and went out to eat afterwards @ a mexican place (taqueria) so I had a chicken tostada and the innerds of a tripe taco and 1/4 of the innerds of a barbacoa taco along with a few chips.  since it was 3am i call it breakfast.  we slept until 11am then got going.  I was a little hungry so I ate some almonds.  we then ran to the grocery store b/c we got summoned to do our famous beer chickens and the hubs wanted to try putting jalapeno bacon under the skin for more flavor.  i am the one with small hands so i get to molest these birds!
We made it to the halloween party and it's a bad thing that it's thrown by a guy who's a chef b/c he made some awesome stuff.  it's a night filled of eating and drinking.  he made chicken salad sandwiches on hawaiian rolls, chicken satay with homemade peanut sauce (yum!) a roasted veggie antipasto platter with candied walnuts and gorganzola cheeze (yum!) new york hot dogs with homemade chipotle mustard and homemade saurkraut (had a bite) pork kebobs, candied apples with walnuts, pesto mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese with white truffle oil, pork loin, etc etc.  i'm glad he did it in shifts b/c that was WAY too much food for anyone.  I'm also glad we left early so we didn't partake in the late heavy stuff.
Love the hubs because he will get something and I'll sneak a bite off of it.  I'm a sampler, nibbler, taster.
I did have 2 pieces of candy and 1/2 a chocolate cookie.  I'm proud of myself.  Out of all that stuff I ate mostly the chicken, roasted veggies, and bites of sausage, fajita, & hot dog.
Hope everyone had a great halloween!!
