October Accountability Thursday
Good Morning TMB,
Hope everyone is doing well this morning. Looks like we are all looking forward to the weekend. This includes me to, of course. Paige, thanks again, for this daily post. I absolutely love it.
First, I want to say that I can totally relate the the nervousness/dread/anxiety you feel about eating out. It's hard for me too. I think it's a CONTROL thing for me. I want to eat everything, but know I shouldn't and best of all, because of my amazing tool, I can't. It's the internal fight/struggle within myself that kills me. -- You've got the right idea: PLAN AHEAD, if possible. I usually go with anything grilled and/or steam and I try to stick with protein and veggies.
Today's Plan:
- Prayer & Meditation
- Vitamins
- Lots of water
- Healthy/Planned Eating
- OA Meeting
- Far away parking spots & stair @ work
- Exercise
- Read / R&R

I can usually find SOMETHING on just about any menu (except places like McDonalds). I always check out the appetizer menu first. Soups or salad are a fall-back food, but there's usually something moist available. Chicken breast? Not on your life - I have enough trouble getting that down at home.
Not doing that well this morning:
B - 2 snack size sausage biscuits
L - out somewhere, have to run an errand for the church - maybe mmmmm greek food
D - I bought a small package of pork cube steak - never used it before and need to figure out what to do with it.

This is my confessional first. Yesterday was HORRIBLE for me, food wise. I had a professional workshop all day and then had to work at my school's fall festival last night. I started off OK with a protein shake, passed on the lunch they served us to have another protein shake, and then had some candy corn, a handful of popcorn, and a box of TicTacs for the rest of the day. Didn't get to exercise at all.
Needless to say, I felt awful by the time I got home. Ugh.
Today will be better.
B: Protein Shake
L: Greek yogurt with flaxseed granola
S: lf string cheese and some fruit
D: baked chicken breast with broccoli and squash
Exercise: zumba and a shorter run

D; Steak with mix veggie
S; 100 Cal Snack

Eating out causes me to break out in a sweat, too! I have discovered that most fast food places have decent salads. My favorite is Chick Fil A's chicken and fruit. I, too, avoid Chinese buffets for many reasons. And Italian unless it's a nicer one that has some sort of chicken breast. But the bread basket screams my name. So, Mexican is usually my pick...fajita meat, guac, sour cream, pico de gallo, beans and maybe a few token chips with salsa. Steak houses are my favorite...wedge salad with blue cheese, medium rare something.
