not my year

Life is very funny at times.... but not today.

Woke up did my normal workout loaded up my bike went to the lake and had a great ride sounds great..... until I get home and unload my bike and feel a pop and lots of pain in my tummy area ! OMG I was in pain and still am ... so I called my sister inlaw and she came over and took me to the ER so 5 hours later and a CAT scan I am the proud owner of a Hernia right abouve my belly button Holy cow! ... now on pain meds and have to see the surgeon in the morning.... Grrrrrrrrrr ! right now I am just in shock I get over one thing and something else happens LMAO ! I have to laugh or I am going nuts so now I know I have to have it fixed and that is fine but why now I have plans to go to Houston Nov. 5-6 for the confrence...... now plans may have to change, but if anyone needs 2 tickets to the OH confrence let me know... cause if I cant go I dont want them to go to waste... I do hope I can go ...... but at this point who knows..... hmmm can I even give the tickets to anyone.... how would that work...?
I am going to count my blessings on my weightloss and be thankful for that and I am able to live life again....

You poor thing...I hope you don't end up having to have surgery, but it does sound like a good possibility.

Sadly they already said I will have to have surgery..... just not sure when.  I am hoping for after the conference..... I really want to go lol

I am feeling better but Nov 9 I have to go in for surgery and I will be ok with that the Dr and I made a deal so if I behave I can go to the OH Confrence , woo hoo I am so happy .

I'm so sorry Lisa, but if surgery is eminent then the conference will have to wait, because hernia's that go pop and hurt are no laughing matter....

Thank you everyone... Good news I get to go to the conference but the following Tuesday after the conference I have to have surgery ... so I am happy ! still in pain but happy... I have to behave myself and no lifting but I can handle it if it means I get to go.

I am so excited that I do get to go, I am being very careful no matter what .... It means alot to me to go to events like this, I used to be very closed up before my SWL and now I am stepping out of the box and learning to enjoy life and to enjoy me again... Looking forward to meeting new friends and seeing a few old friends too.
