We're stationed at Atsugi, Japan. we're about an hour by train outside Tokyo and 20 minutes by train from Yokohama. Of course, hubby is in Afghanistan until May... so I am hoping to use this time to at least drop half of what I gained.
I'm walking and so far have over 130 miles on my Nike+ account. I'm trying to reach 210 by the end of the year.
I gave up pasta, popcorn, and have had half a small french fry this week. I know I shouldn't touch them, but for awhile there, I was eating french fries every day (medium!!!). Also drastically cut back on candy purchases for the kids (Tootsie Rolls are evil for me) and now I get them snacks that I can't stand. I admit that when we got here and I became isolated, I absolutely dove right back into self-medicating as my depression worsened.
So now I'm working on cutting back the soda (been decaf, at leat) and other bad carbs (like Saltine crackers with my soup!).
I think the Zoloft is helping me a bit (its only been 2 weeks), but I am struggling with feeling sleepy on it. I heard that I may get used to it and that side effect will go away after a month or so.
Yes, I'd like to hang out on the Texas board. Hubby retires in 2012 and we'll be able to finally live in our new home we built. My oldest is caring for it right now.
