GOOD MORNING! Its Saturday and its going to be a pretty day! Woo hoo! I hope to get some Halloween decorations out today. I've never bought cobwebs but I have and I'm going to try them on the bushes. I've got some bats and eyeballs to hang from the tree too. I bought eyeball stuff for work too-just a little blindness humor.

I'm wide awake at 5am. Figures. Last night I was all alone which is rare. Bryan is out of town until the 23rd and Chris spent the night at a friend's. So I watched The Back Up Plan. It was cute. I want to watch Freakanomics, the movie, but decided I wanted something lighter. Esp because I was watching Dateline but quickly decided a murder story wasn't what I should be watching alone. lol.

Prayers continue for Robin's son Tyler.

Hope everyone has a great day today!

Woke up at 3:30 a.m. but made myself stay in bed until 4:45. Today I am going with my very pregnant daughter and the babies to a company picnic (her company) so I hope we have good weather.

I had a VERY bad eating day yesterday so I will try to be good today. ( The Sacchetti at Olive Garden is very yummy. Breadsticks are evil.)

Prayers to all who are suffering.

Good morning!!!  Way to early for me this Saturday morning but my 9 year old and I are headed to the Walk from Obesity here in Houston! Going to meet up with some friends and support group so looking forward to a nice morning...especially since the weather is suppose to be beautiful this weekend!!

Not sure what the rest of the weekend may bring but I'm thinking I might try and talk my husband into going to the Renaissance Festival tomorrow! I've been wanting to take the kids for years and it seems we never get around to it.

Prayers to all who are need, especially Robin and Tyler!

Good morning.  I'm here in Aggieland ready for an early game of A & M vs. Missouri.  It's at 11:00 a.m.  I've been wanting an earlier in the day game, but they are starting this super early for a Sat. since we have to leave a couple of hours before the game to go get ice for the ice chest for food and drinks, drop it off at the tailgate area, then park and get to Kyle Field.  We try to be in the stadium at least an hour before the game.

Tailgating should be fun today.  It will be a smaller crowd, but my sister and BIL and niece from Nashville will be here today.    We got our Maroon Out shirts yesterday, so we're good to go.  I may save mine to wear Wed.for college day at school.  I can't decide weather I want to be a Lumberjack or an Aggie yet.   Hmmm. support one of the colleges I went to or the one my money goes to...decisions, decisions.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Prayers to Robin and family and all others who need them.

Up early this morning, daughter is in the Kyle festival parade and is practicing at the football stadium with the band.  It is a very chilly morning, but nice.  Hopefully it will stay nice and cool all day.  Haven't had time to post lately because of school.  I am so glad I made the decision to go back it makes me feel like I am actually doing something now.  Living on SSI is great and all, but I heard that we are not getting a cost of living increase this year so now I need to make sure I really do well so I can get a real good start on my career.  School has all sorts of challenges as far as eating is concerned.  I have not found many frozen meals that are not high in sodium, sugar or fat, and that is using the smart ones.  Does anyone have any suggestions for a newbie pouch? (3 months out)

Allissa, I thought about getting the house all dressed up for Holloween, but after looking around the spiders that have adopted us have done it for us.  My kids say they are too old to dress up now so Holloween is not a "priority" in our house anymore.  *sigh* Who says you have to be a kid to dress up for Holloween?  BTW, will I get egged if I give out sugarfree candy?  Just asking.

Prayers go out to all who need them.

Halloween is not just for kids. It's fun for all ages! We are giving out packages of pretzels. No candy temptations. Last year I bought pencils and stickers from Oriental Trading Co. We live in a neighborhood with lots of little ones so it's fun.

I bought party favor type things to give out at Halloween.   I did a Support Group on Halloween a couple of weeks ago and that was one of the suggestions.   So I am running with it.   Having candy around my house is NOT a good thing since I have a sweet tooth and always have.    So that is what I am doing.   Giving baggies of halloween party favors and maybe some gum too.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

I'm definately giving out candy-that's the whole purpose of Halloween.  I'm not penalizing the kids-it's up to their parents to decide how much they can have and when.  Hopefully I won't have too many leftovers but part of maintanence is living like real people do-so I still have one "snack size" candy bar for dessert everyday.
