Had the NovaSure procedure yesterday - tired today, but I'm surprised to wake up completely pain free.  Now, here's to hoping all is successful, bleeding stops and I can be less anemic moving forward :)

I won't lie - hurt like crazy yesterday.

Oh, and the doctor shared with me that I have the tiniest uterus.  Good to know something is considered "tiny" on my body!

WAY TO GO !  I had that procedure done 1 month prior to WLS  - talk about messed up hormones !!!  lol            It took me almost 4 months to stop bleeding............if I remember right.

Now my cycles are monthly -  more regular than I've ever been and lots less heavy...
  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

I had it done 2 years ago...best thing I've done in a long time. yes I was in pain first day but after that I was back to normal. Had no period for the first 3 months and then it was a light 1 day period off and on for a few more months. Now I've been free of periods for a year...

stopped my anemia in it's tracks too!  Congrats on having it done!
Hopefully it will help you like it did for me!
Cheers, Tee

Thank you all for the encouragment!

I would love to be period free, but at the least this will significantly lessen how much period I do experience which was the point in having the procedure.

Will be nice when I'm not so tired - thanks again!

I don't know what it is, don't think I'll ever need one since I do not have a uterus, BUT THE MAIN THING IS YOU ARE RECOVERING!  Best wishes
