morning everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well i PROMisEd my sistah GINA  that i would try to pop in here.  I leave the house around 515, 530 so most mornings i dont get the trian read until that night lol.  For those that know me really well, you know that 430-6am are my optimum sleeping time so this is taking some getting used to.  However, I am grateful for the job, so no complaints!
Also wanted to report.... my friend that has been on hospice for the last few months (docs gave him 2 weeks) finally passed away a few days ago.  To most, this would be sad news, however, he has been at a hospice facility this entire time and has been suffering horribly despite best efforts to manage his pain.  Yes GINA, kudos to his ENTIRE staff, they were2nd only to you.  Looking like his funeral will be sat as we are waiting for his grandson to get in from his tour in Kuwaiit. 

thank you all for the prayers and support during this very long, drawn out ordeal.  

 On another note, work is going well, just way too many hours lol.  Boss called yesterday after i got off in a lather about something, cussing left and right.  this morning, she called me nfo her office and apologied and told me i had been doing a great job and she appreciated me jumping in feet first.  ok so that part was kewl... lol.

I'm glad to hear that your friend has finally passed.  I know that he is now in a better place and pain free!

 Prayers being said Liz for  your friend's family who are left.   I am sure that they are feeling relief though that his pain has finally ceased.    It is difficult to see someone that you love suffer and know that there is absolutely nothing that can be done except pray for God to cease the pain.    Prayers for your job too.   SO glad that you boss called you and said they were sorry for their actions yesterday.   I worry about you not getting enough sleep.    Praying that will soon get better for you.   Have a blessed day !!

GOOD MORNING! Glad you started our train. Can we have a nap car then? lol. Actually I slept from 9pm-4:30am which is rare, so I'm pretty happy with that.
Today at 7:45am I'll be at the Denton Courthouse square for their first White Cane Day event. Its a way to promote awareness of people who are blind. Now that I'm covering Denton its a good way to get involved in the community. And its nice to only have to drive to Denton instead of work. It will be hard to pass the house on the way to work at lunchtime though, lol.

Alissa, I've never heard of White Cane Day. My first husband was legally blind and used a cane.

My boss is leaving tomorrow for 3 weeks in Cameroon, so I will be crazy busy today making sure everything is covered for while he's out. After he leaves, should be smooth sailing for me!

Really?? My late husband-Chris's dad- was legally blind.

Its about promoting the independence of people who are blind. It became a recognized day back in 1964.
We had 35 people show up and the press was there from 2 papers-course they were Denton and UNT papers, but we'll take it!

Good morning!  Not much going on it my world today other then the day to day stuff.  I did finally get signed up for the Walk from Obesity that will be going on here in Houston this weekend.  That meant I had to move the support group back a week but it's for a good cause and looking forward to going... dragging my 9 year old along too!

good morning folks!  I have a busy day of ARD meetings all day today, so I best go get ready for work.  I have to make a run to the second office after work to turn stuff in that's ready.  HOme to pay bills after that since payday is Friday.

I hope everyone has a super Wednesday.  At least we'll be halfway through this week and getting closer to our OH conference. 

I'll be busy on weekends between now and then.  This weekend is an Aggie football game weekend as well as the 30th.  The 23rd is go to work on my own time w/ no pay for it to get folders ready weekend.  I'm not too excited about that one, but it will give me a sense of peace at work.
