Old-Timers, Newbies, Lurkers-I will if YOU will...
Well about me, I am a little over 7 years post op (10/1/2003). My highest weight was 276 and I had lost 136 lbs. I did gain about 20lbs back last year due to not being able to much physically cause of my back problems. A few months ago I decided to say to heck with my Dr's and start exercising. I did exactly that and have lost a majority of my weight gain. I fluctuate from my 136 lb goal to 147. I wear from a size 3-5. I also had my plastic surgery with the most wonderful John LoMonaco in March of 2005 (which he alone is another post another day lol, those who know me know how much I think the world of Dr L).
Anyways, I am glad you posted this and I came back and logged in! I plan on being at the conference, not completely sure due to other conflicts that weekend. I hope to be there!

I'm Jodie, 47 years young and had had VSG 7/9/08, so that's a little over two years ago. My highest recorded weight was 294 in 5/07, my first WLS consult weight was 275 & the day of surgery 260. I am happy each day when I get up and see 144.4 on my scale. Seems to be where my body is happy.
My husband is Raymond (aka KING) and he had his VSG 6/15/10. He went into surgery at 301 and today (a mere 4 months later) weighed 233. He's off all diabetes and heart related medicines and has been since his surgery.
I cannot say enough about how this message board helped me during my research, preparation, recovery and losing phases. I've made more friends than I can keep up with - and oh, yeah, I'm the MEAN GIRL in the group.

I'm doing my damndest to get to the conference in Houston. Fifty-two weekends in the year and they pick the one week I need to be in at least 3 places at the same time.
My name is Lynnette, I had my surgery a little over 3 years ago. Started out at 251 and maintained 150 up until this summer. Had a regain of 17 lbs. Started out wearing a size 22/24 now wear 12's....some days and now some 14's My Sistah Friends that I've met because of OH have laughed with me and cried with me. Like Steph said these are people that love me just for me! Some people think that WLS will make their life "perfect" I'm a perfect example of how it will not, but I'm also a perfect example of how you can see the blessings. Since my WLS I've lost a dear brother due to complications from WLS, my sweet Mother, laid off from an awesome job, and the list goes on...and on..... but with the support of my OH family I've not only made it thru these "challenges" I've met people that will always be a part of my family. I'm working on getting back to my goal, but what is different than years past, I'm not obsessed with it. But I also will not let it get any higher. One thing I do know is that staying connected DOES help keep you on track.
Your loved!
