I had roux-n-y in 6/2008, started at 370, my lowest was 1/2010 and it was 214. I am 240 as of 10/10/10.

Suggestions, types of revisions... anything?

Are you working with your doc's nutritionist?  How about a food journal to write down literally EVERYTHING you are eating and drinking?  I know food journals can sometimes be a huge drag, but not only can they show a person what they are truly eating (too much of), but can show what you are not eating enough of.  A nutritionist can look at those and at least get a decent idea of what you are consuming.  How about exercise?  Dig out your stuff from when you originally had your surgery and go back to the basics.  Protein first, carbs absolutely last.  That carb monster kills just about all of us and they are sneaky lil' buggers!  Have you been to your doc for an annual lab visit?  A lab visit once a year is really important.  You do NOT want to become vitamin deficient.  If you make an appt. to see him/her for that, then bring them your food journals and let them see what you are doing.  My doc once told me that at the beginning, it's 80% surgery, 20% us.  After a very short time, it completely flip-flops and becomes only 20% surgery and 80% US so before any doc is going to discuss something like a revision, they are probably going to want to know what you are currently doing.  I know it is a huuuuge pain in the butt - BUUUT, more than likely a tweak in your current daily regimine can hopefully jumpstart things again!

Start with the visit for your annual labs and then discuss things with your doc.  I'm sure he/she can get you back on track!!!  Good Luck!

Honey, I am going to have to agree with Jill. Get back ti basics, maybe do the 5 day pouch test to jumpstart the eweight loss and decarb your system. Make that appt for a check up with your Doc. Your labs are so important. Before he will talk revision he will want to see food journals and maybe a scope to see what condition your pouch is in! The more pro-active you are the more he will be willing to do!! Two yrs out it is how you use your pouch not as much about the fact you have just a pouch!!

Stick with us and we will help you through it! We have an accountability thread here maybe start with posting your plan for each day there!

First off-what a HUGE accomplishment~losing 130 lbs is awesome so pat yourself on the back!!  My first suggestion would be to schedule an appt with your doctor.  He/she would like to sit down with you and discuss your options.  A LOT of people I know never reached goal but the tool is still there and if treated right, it still works.  The most common problem is grazing and eating slider foods.  The further out we get, the more we tend to eat the junk we know we shouldn't.

Back to basics is really the best thing: SOLID protein, no liquids for 30 min after meals, weigh and measure portions, drink those darn protein drinks and document every bite you put in your mouth.  If you will commit to post here everyday, we will support you everyway we can.  You are not alone-it is very common to have some regain but you're smart-you are asking for help early, before it gets out of hand.  Any chance you can make it to the conference in Nov?  Those always remotivate me and we'd love to meet you in person.

Good luck and I live in Rowlett if I can help in anyway, let me know.

DitTo to what JILL, MEGGIE and STEPH already said (they are VERY smart ladies). If you were looking for that "easy button" it's only in the Office depot commercials (or whomever has it). Your story could easiLy be MY story. I am 8 and 1/2 yrs post RNY and STILL haven't seen that darn "goal" number..had 70 lbs regain at one time...but LOST it and have continued toward goal...slowly but surely thru the help of my FAMILY here...Your profile doesn't give me any info to go on. Tell us what you're "doing" now-in the way of food/water/exercise, etc. THERE WILL NO JUDGING-ONLY HELP

I've done the 5 day pouch test... is it necessary to do like a 30 pouch test for it to work? :(

...and I've left voicemail and email for my surgeon's office, not ever had a return anything, so I've kind of be dumped to find my own resolution.
