Anyone from the Beaumont area?

do you know if there are support groups in our area?

Howdy from the Mid-County area!!! I am from the area, and to my knowledge there are no LOCAL support groups.. Some friends of mine are wanting to begin one.. We have all had different surgeries.. I have had the VSG, one had Lap Band, and the other Gastric Bypass, so we have all aspects.. Keep in touch.....

Keep me posted if you guys decide to have a meeting or get together.  I am hopeing to have VSG in December for my re-birthday.  Why did you decide on VSG?  What problems have you had?  Was it hard in the begining?

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you... I chose VSG with the help of my surgeon. For the amount of weight I needed to lose, and financial option, we chose VSG.... It has been an awesome thing for me.. With my hard work and dedication, I have lose 182 lbs in 13 mnths.. I still have about 100 left to lose, but I am on a good track.. I have had no side effects at all, it has been a smooth transisition for me. I am such a VSG advocate.. I was on the local news Channel 6 morning show with my surgeon talking about my journey last week..  Good luck to you and will keep in touch.
