How long did it take for you to get an approval for VSG with Blue Cross Blue Shield of TX???

Paperwork submitted for approval about 2 weeks ago....just wondering if it normally takes them the entire 30 days???

Submitted my paper work on the 10th.  appointment made on the 23rd.

HI IBM!!  Thanks for answering...talking to ins. this morning and they're saying they need all of my supervised diet info but my doc sent them a 38 page report of my diet and the progress.  BCBS has confirmed that they have the report so now I guess we're waiting to find out what more they need.  We expected an approval about the time you got yours.  Did you have to resubmit anything?  Did you have to do the supervised diet?

Keep calling them!!!! I bugged mine to death about my abdominalplasty.  I called everyday sometimes twice!

Got approved 10/8...Surgery is scheduled for November 1st WHOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!
