Be still my heart

On 2nd thought, don't.
I have been dealing with a slooooow heart rate for years. And lately, I'll have a fast, irregular episode, and then almost pass out when it converts back to the slow rate.
My cardiologist put a 24 hr monitor on me to hopefully catch the episodes. No such luck.
But, it did catch my heart rate slowing down into the 20s. (usually in the 40s, and over the last week-30s)
So, now I'm waiting for the 6th of October to get a pacemaker implanted.
I should be a new woman with increased stamina, energy, and vigor. (and hopefully memory)
I can't wait to start walking now that it's beautiful outside.
I've lost another 10 lbs, for a total of 28, and once that pacemaker is implanted...
Whoohoooo!

I just noticed that we are one day apart of our surgeries!  I have had the same success as you.  I have lost 21 lbs. so far and have started walking for 30mins everyday.  Good luck to you, sister!

congratulations to you too! How much did you weigh going into surgery? I was 412.
Too bad we don't live closer, so we can go walking.
Meggie said her mother had a pacemaker put in, and she's a new woman. (wonder what they did with the old one?)
I've got a kitty tattoo that I'm afraid they might have to cut into...
I asked him to try not to cut into it, but the pacemaker is more important.

What did your cardi. say was the cause of the slow rate (bradycardia)?    Just a hereditary thing, or had you had previous h.a.s?

Good luck, and get well soon ..
