Hello - I'm Back!
Hello TMB Family. Yes, it's been a minute since I was last here. Life is just getting in the way. I have good intentions but some how, something always happens. It's been 22 months since I had my surgery. I have probably now gained back about 7 pounds. I don't like it but it's no one's fault but mine. I have been struggling because nothing really gives me a problem. I am determined to get them off and continue toward my goal. I still have a ways to go.
That being said, I have stressors in my life. The biggest one right now is that I am leaking spinal fluid thru my right nostril!
Yeah, how can that happen? That was my question but no one knows the answer. The bottom line is I have to have it repaired. I am having surgery on 10-1-10 for the repair. The doctor said I would be home for 5-6 weeks for the recovery. 
Please keep me in your prayers. The really sad part about this whole thing was that on 10-1-10, I was suppose to be on a plane going to Spain for 14 days!!!!! But because of the danger of the increased pressure from the plane, I could make it worse and end up with meningitis or worse. I know that everything happens for a reason, so just keep me in your prayers. Thanks.

Glad to see you back on the TMB Jerry but I am SO SORRY to hear about your problem. I have never heard of that before. Hope that you will do OK with the surgery and you can always reschedule your trip to Spain. Prayers going out for you my friend. I was hoping to see you at the OH Conference but I guess you will be home recovering from surgery. Please do everything your doc. says. We don't want anything happening to you. Take care and you are definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

Jerry...I hate to hear that you have this problem and have to have surgery. I hope everything goes well. Maybe you'll take off that 7 lbs. if you don't feel like eating much after surgery. I hope the surgery gets you back to normal. I too was hoping to see you at the convention. maybe you'll be up to coming into Houston for the day. Sorry if I've missed you at support group but the A & M home football game schedule doesn't jive with the support group schedule.

I'm sorry you're having this kinds of trouble. I know what happened, don't you? You've got so much stuff crammed into your brain there's no more room for anything else...so some thing has to leak out to make room for more stuff! 
Seriously, I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Please let us know how you are doing.Maybe your daughter can pop in and let us know how the surgery went. I'm also hoping you'll feel well enough to come to the conference, even for one day.

Thanks you guys for the love and the prayers! I am registered for the conference and have my hotel room reserved so hopefully I'm up and around by then. I was really looking forward to seeing everyone again. It's been too long. Even if I'm not, I'm sure Apryl will be there because she has been looking forward to it. Karla, I haven't been at support group the last 2 meetings. I was out of town last month and this month I was cleaning my house getting ready for the surgery. Dee, you are too funny; although I do have a lot going on, my brain is probably on overload! Seriously though, it is kind of scary because it's like brain surgery because the leak is at the base of my skull. Paige, the doctor is going in through my nostril,and a drain has to be placed in my spinal column and dye injected to see exactly where the leak is. It is then covered with a graft, glued in place and my body has to scar tissue over the spot. He said I could be out 5-6 weeks. I hope not but you never know. So please keep me in your prayers.
