Well we found some thing today. I had a test to see how my  stomach was emptying and discovered it wasn't. It only passed 10% of what was in it in a 2hr time period. Stomach is basically paralised and not moving. We think it is my migraine medicine that has caused this! The meds do have all kinds tummy side effects and it is the only new thing in my life so we are reducing the amount and going back to clear liquids. Can't even have jello!

We shall see will probably be in  hospital till till late next week but at least we are figuring this out!

MEGGIE-that's interesting. Which migraine med is it? How long have you been taking it?

beeen taking tpamax since the endofmay dosaqge incresed 2x. that is the only thing in my regime that has changed and it has loads of side effects on the tummy so that is why we think it is the med.

MEGGIE-Just throwing a thought out there-did you take Topamax before it went generic? Last yr? Yr before? I've never had the tummy issues you have, of course, but it DID effect my guts some when my Topamax went generic-there's always a little "tinkering" involved in ingredients, depending on who is doing the manufacturing.....Like I said...just a thought

So glad you are getting some answers this time around !!    So sorry that it has come to this.........

Those dang migranes............I"m so glad that I don't have to deal with that or insomnia !!

So  - you would think that everything would be going into your stomach - and you'd be gaining weight instead of LOSING it !!  huh?   Interesting

Luv you (((((((((((((Hugggsss)))))))))))))))))
