Wednesday WLS Express
I realized yesterday I didn't have a rain coat, and my hands were full so I didn't have room to hold an umbrella so I borrowed Bryan's wind breaker. I need to get me something. I prefer a rain coat as opposed to an umbrella anyway. They dry easier- don't have to find room to lay it out if you go visit someplace and you don't have to worry about the wind. Maybe I'll make my way over to Burlington since its at the mall my office building is at.
Prayers for healing for Meggie and Jenn.
I hope everyone has a great day today!!!
Not much to report here. Usual for me, not much sleep, and been kicking dogs out then grabbing them as they come back in to wipe them down as its way wet out here.
Hope everyone out driving is careful and safe. I had an option PT appt in grapevine this morning but it was optional so think i will cancel it.
be safe

Good morning! Yuck I have to go see patients in Euless this morning...yuck to driving to Euless...NOT to my patients...at least they are all in one nursing home, so I won't have to be in and out of the car alot. THAT is my "brigh and cheery" for today..it's all I can muster up, on short notice!
Continued prayers for our MEGGIE as she lives in the lap of luxury at AMH, and for JENN AKA PENGUIN, as she continues to heal from her latest surgery
Today is the 8th...according to my calendar...3 weeks from now I will be ASLEEP ON A SHIP.....
Have a great day!!

We Can Do Hard Things
WHEW is it wet out there or what??? Driving into work was and adventure in puddle dodgin' in the dark with sheets of pounding water on the windshield not helping any at all! Made it in one piece and relatively dry too, but geez.... I've fallen out of the habit of coming here first thing in the mornings, but at least I did remember while it is still morning, LOL!
Prayers for all, especially Meggie and Jenn!
Here's Eddy Rabbit's I Love A Rainy Night, which just seemed appropriate, LOL
Well I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good
Well I love a rainy night
It's such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow
Wish I was washed
All my cares away
I'd wake up to a sunny day
'Cause I love a rainy night
Yes I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
I love to hear the thunder
Watch the lightning
When it lights up the sky
You know it makes me feel good
Well I love a rainy night
It's such a beautiful sight
I love to feel the rain
On my face
To taste the rain on my lips
In the moonlight shadow
Puts a song
In this heart of mine
Puts a smile on my face every time
'Cause I love a rainy night
Yes I love a rainy night
Ooh I love a rainy night
Yeah I love a rainy night
Wish I was washed
All my cares away
I'd wake up to a sunny day
'Cause I love a rainy night
Yes I love a rainy night
Well I love a rainy night
I love a rainy night
Ya'll have a great day my friends!

Things are going well for us. Jeff is enjoying his class, though he's having to schedule some extra time for the homework. He's even been able to apply some of what he's learned at his job and he's so proud of that. I'm bored bored bored at work, because my boss has given all but one of my projects away. It's smart to get that taken care of while I'm still available, but not having work to do just makes me feel like I'm taking advantage of the company. Only another week and a couple of days of it though, so I'm not going to worry.
My SIL in Long Island will likely be having the twins later this week. The girl isn't growing, so they are talking about doing an induction or C-section on Friday. Prayers that things work out well for them, this has been such a roller coaster ride for them. My other SIL is due in Dec, but is measuring a couple of weeks farther along, so she might have another Nov baby. Babies, babies, babies. LOL, our life is definitely full!
Hope everyone has a safe, dry day!

I'm discouraged today. The scale has inched back up 3 pounds. I knew this would be coming so I'm not surprised. I've upped my calorie intake because...well...I'm able to eat more than broth. But I'm not able to move or exercise at all. I guess I'm just down because my low point was AT goal...to see goal and now be back above it...well...I'm bummed. And I know we need the rain, but the weather is not helping my mood.
I'm about to start gathering 2 of every animal.
Today Clint has the car so I'm home and no errands for me. I will go out later tonight. There is an OH'er from California who posts frequently on the RNY board. She's in town on business. Only 2 months post op so we're going to get together and I'm going to share my 'heaps of knowledge' with her. It will feel good to get out even for a couple of hours and be a little social.
Well, I've had breakfast but I didn't make my coffee yet so I'm off to do that. Maybe coffee with perk my mood up.
Prayers for you all and thanks and hugs for the prayers my way. I don't know what I would do without you guys!
I am moving in TWELVE days! I am NOT ready! A week after that, I'll be leaving on the cruise! Eeeek!
