Prayers for our Godchild please

We received a text about an hour ago, our 12 year old Godchild has type 1 diabetes and is in a diabetic coma. They are running organ test, I assume that is to check for organ failure, nurses can you confirm what this means?

I want to go to the hospital to be there for them, his mom is a single mother. She said they are OK, so I'm not going to infringe on them tonight. I'll go in the morning to check on them, I'm scared this doesn't sound good.

His name is Russell, all prayers appreciated.

Is this a new diagnosis or has he had it awhile? Either way, it's hard on a child. I'll keep Russell and his Mom in my prayers.

He was diagnosed earlier this year with diabetes. I don't think they understand the importance of a good, healthy balanced diet. He was already on insulin, and had considered the pump.

I hope he comes out of this.

How terrible for a child. I pray that he gets better and that they take care of his diabetes. My step brother has type 1 diabetes and was diagnosed about the same age as your god child. He is still healthy in his early 40's now. Prayers for the family. I hope they now realize the importance of keeping it in check.
