Hi Alissa & TMB!

My woo hoo is...it is Wednesday and I am looking forward to a three day weekend!  I have been working 12 hour shifts for the past three weeks and I have a whole new respect for people *****gularly have to work 12 hour workdays.

With life being so busy, I am happy to say that I am back to this WLS journey.  I have picked up  about eight pounds on my detour but right now, I have checked myself into carb rehab while I attempt to detox all the carb heavy and flavorful foods!

Have a great day!

 Good morning all.

I had another night with some real sleep.  It was in 'patches' and I still wake up to roll over but I'm able to drop back off for the most part.  I'm missing curling up with Clint every night but our bed is just too soft right now so I'm sleeping in a spare bedroom on a futon.  There will be plenty o' time for cuddling in a few weeks when I'm more 'cuddle-able'.

I'm considering gas pains a 'non issue' now.  I have some residual pain in my upper shoulder but I almost think its just left over soreness from it being trapped there for so long.  Other things show signs of finally "moving" today (sorry for the overshare).  All these things make me realize I am on the road to recovery.

I have my first follow up appointment with my surgeon tomorrow.  I'll get my LOVELY surgical drain removed and I hope he will give me a firm "you can start full liquids on X" date.  Right now it was kind of left up in the air 1-2 weeks on clear liquids so its hard to look forward to an unknown.

I still have a long way to go.  I'm still moving slow and have surgery site pain but I can feel the improvements.  Its encouraging and that puts a smile on my face.  Feels good to smile.

Thoughts and prayers to all who need them.

Good morning all!  My Woohoo is that I've got just under 3 weeks till we get to meet Natalie!  Had a good ultrasound yesterday, she's nearly 5 1/2 lbs and measuring at the 30th percentile.  Of course, she was a stubborn butt and wouldn't cooperate with the non-stress test.  That's three weeks in a row that she will not behave and let them see her heart rate moving up and down.  She either kicks the monitor and shifts away from it, or stays on the monitor and goes to sleep.  Today I go in to see my OB for my weekly visit.  I've got a short list of questions for her, but it should be a pretty quick appointment.

I did manage to sprain my ankle pretty badly when I took the tumble down the hill on Monday.  Can't do anything really medically, so I've got an ankle brace and my doc told me to elevate it, ice it, rest and let it heal.  Hopefully it won't take too long to heal.  I don't have time to rest too much as things just keep piling up on our schedule, but I will figure out a way to make it happen.

Hope everyone has a great day!
