Stay AWAY from Dr. David Kim

It was December of 08.  Excuse the mistake.  No need to be so rude!   I am fine with my weight loss results.  I am 145lbs. and happy with that fact.  However, I am not OK with with the pain I am in daily or the fact that my port sticks out of my skin.  With all do respect, I did not post this to debate with you, I posted to give others a fair warning of what they could be in for with him.  This is MY experience.  And YES he absolutely is to blame and I have seen 3 other surgeons (about a revision) that agree.  So whether you like it or not, he screwed up!

 WIth all due respect.....I would contact his office as they asked you to do above and as I asked too and see if he will reposition your port so I won't cause you any pain.  I am truely sorry that you are going through this.   I really am.   You will be ini my prayers for this issue to be corrected soon.   I have heard of lap banders ports sticking out when they loose all their weight..    I use to attend Dr. Kim's lap band support groups.   Good luck to you and hope you will call and see what they can do to help you out.    Give them another chance....what have you got to loose !!!!

If 3 other surgeons agree then why hasn't one of them fixed the port for you yet?

I am sorry that you have had problems and are unhappy with your surgery. I used Doctor Kim as my surgeon for the sleeve so I cannot speak for the lapband. I can say my experience with him and his office staff has been a great one though and I have been happy from day one that he is the surgeon I chose. Again, I am sorry your experience was not as good. I would try and call once again since above they are offering to help and asking you to call.
