I'm Swelling!!! Why??
I am four days out and my legs are swelling. Why??? I am drinking, walking, and brothing. Has anyone had this problem??

Not sure......I would call my surgeon's answering service and have the doc call you and ask him. Take it easy now. It could be the heat.

Hope tomorrow things will be so much better for you as far as the swelling. It could also be from the IV fluids ( or I think that might do that to you ). LOL Take care and at least the doc told you to put your feet up and relax.

I noticed a little bit of pitting edema in my lower legs after surgery....I kept my feet elevated as much as possible, and walked every chance i had.....and force fluids.....
It has gone away, im 8 months out...I do feel it every now and again, if I have been lax on my fluids...
It was just alittle bit, now if your swelling a lot, dont take chances, specially if you have or had blood pressure or heart issues before surgery.
