Siesta Saturday WLS Express
So, hope on board, visit with everyone this morning, then head over to the siesta car and then let's hope on the Cristina's car for a fiesta!!
Good morning. I slept in until 6:30. That felt good to not have the alarm go off! Plan on fixing breakfast for the guys after while.
I don't have plans until late afternoon when we have to get ready for my nephews wedding. We have to be there by 6:00 and it's at a ranch in the woods, so we have to leave by 5:00 or so to get there when Ben needs to be there to usher. It will be a late night for us. Should be loads of fun. The rehearsal dinner was nice last night.
Hope ya'll in the Big D area have fun at dinner tonight.
Prayers for Terry T and family and all others who need them.
Have a great Saturday!

I sadly don't know if I'm going to make it to Cristina's tonight. Last night was another bad pain night. Even broth out of soup is hurting now. I REALLY want to come out but I'm just wondering if I need to hermit up. I guess we'll see how today goes. Its almost like if I don't eat I'm fine...but I know I can't go until Thursday without eating anything. :( I have a friend coming over today for some hang time. We'll see how I make it through that.
Clint helped me tackle the mess that is my sewing room last night. Made a huge dent. I hurt so bad he just had me sit in my sewing chair and direct. He and Melanie put together both sets of my new shelves and then he picked up and folded every scrap of fabric on the floor...and OMG I have a lot. But that's how I like to buy fabric. I buy things I like, whether I have a project in mind or not. If you are a seamstress like me, you know fabric is like cheese...it has to age. Then...one day you'll hear a little voice coming out of your fabric shelf that tells you what it wants to be. The minute I decide I want to go sew something and try to go to the store to buy fabric for that project you never find what you want. But if I have a huge stash at home, its easy to find the 'perfect' thing.
I hope everyone has an incredible Saturday. I want to thank everyone here for being so supportive through this issue I'm having. Its my first complication (if you even want to call it that) post surgery and it just kind of hit me out of the blue. I know I've been whiny and I solemnly swear I will be happier once I get rid of this pet hernia.
Love to you all!
JENN-as much as I want to meet you and hug your skinny self--I'd rather you TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!! There will be other group activities. Your health has to come first.
My MamMaw was a very gifted seamstress-could sew ANYTHING-when my sisters and cousins were little she made all our clothes, matching Easter dresses, etc. She also did weddings, all her Eastern Star ladies dresses, etc. I used to love to watch people come over and get fitted, etc-all that fabric was so exciting to a little girl-and the sequins, hand beading, etc...wow....If she was here today, I guarantee she would be doing the Renaissance shows, etc. I have a cousin who sews some fabulous outfits, I cannot even sew a straight hem!

We Can Do Hard Things
Can't wait to see everyone tonight!
Debbi
Good morning! I'm having a lazy morning-and loving it. Corbin is at work and the other 2 guys are still sleeping. I'm kicked back in the recliner, sipping green tea, and catching up with my peeps, while watching "Clean House" (those slobs make me feel better about myself).
I need to make a short grocery run and a few other errands, but really want to keep things "simple" today. It's been a rough week, and I need the chill time. Am totally looking forward to hanging with my peeps tonight, of course-just wish more could be there...sigh...I'm never satisfied...
Extra special prayers and hugs for my beach bum sis, TERRY ANN
Hope evreyone enjoys their day as much as I intend to enjoy mine!

We Can Do Hard Things
I have been able to be on my foot with little pain. I'm so pleased. I went Thursday and Friday to the acupuncturist. She said that if I get too bad Sunday she'd come in to see me. That was really nice. And she's a fraction of the price of other acupuncturist. I'll see her again Tuesday. If we can get a few sessions in right away it should break the pain cycle I seem to be caught in.
Prayers continue for Terry Ann. Take care everyone.
A siesta is for sure on my calendar for today. The boyfriend spent from 9am to 3am at work, so I stayed up till 1am, finally fell asleep and was up at 6am when he had to get up and go back to work. They are moving offices so he has to set up all the networks and stuff. So on my way back from my weekly weigh in at WW, I went to his place and then came home, decided ya know I want a new outfit for tonight. Had to go by Target to pick up my meds, so went looked. They had this cute dress in clearance and I was like hmm, I have never worn that size before, so I took it and one larger into the fitting room. OMG It fit. It is a size 1 at Target which is like a 16/18. Soooooo I am wearing it tonight for you all :).
Excited to see those I have met, to meet more and to see my Sandi, whom I have not seen in years. Jenn, if you do not feel up to it, stay home rest. Cause I can find you anytime :).
Well I am gonna finish lunch and putz around till nap time.
