Hey y'all - sorry to have been MIA for the last couple of weeks, but that's how it is...
Little update on ME:
The "new" job fell apart with salary and benefits negotiations, so I ended up turning it down in the end. I just couldn't get myself into a job where the salary just wasn't there and frankly, was just a pittance. Sometimes a job is worth it, but I couldn't see putting myself into a situation where I couldn't live on the salary. It would have made a bad situation even worse, so I am back on the job hunt. So THAT is my bad news. I'm not thinking that I have any good news, so I'll just continue to muddle through. Eating has become more of a problem, so I am going back on protein shakes today, with only one 'solid' meal per day. Gotta start getting the weight (15lbs
)I have regained off, so I'll be GAWGEOUS for the cruise in September.

So sorry that the job didn't work out for you. I am starting back on shakes today also and going to do the very same thing that you are. We had a family birthday dinner at Red Lobster last night for my MIL 's 83rd BDay. I made good choices or so I thought but the scale did not reflect that this AM. UGH....I really think it is water weight because rings are tight this AM. Hate summer heat and humidity !!! UGH You will be in my prayers for a new job to surface for you. Love ya and don't be hard on yourself....stress is really bad on your weight loss. IMHO.

No kidding and you are so right, Ms Viv -- I've been battling this for the last 6 months and it's getting worse as this is drawn out longer and longer. Stress is a killer for the diet and my BIL is NOT helping with his constant sniping and acting like a horse's behind! But I will survive, somehow, someway...............

I am only working 2 days this week and have 5 days off in a row (whoop!) but that also means more temptations around the house, so I will just have to put my big girl panties on and deal with it.
Sorry your job fell through, Mari - that really sucks. I think what you are doing is smart as far as your eating - shakes all day and one solid meal so you don't go crazy wanting to chew something. That is how some surgeon's do their pre-op diet. Good luck on both accounts (job and eating plan).

I know it's not much but went out of town on vacation last week and ate out more then the norm so lucky it wasn't a gain.

Awe Mari I am so sorry your job fell through! Something better WILL come along. Just can't bear getting on the hag this morning. Forgot it was monday and am already dressed an jeweled and don't have the energy to undo it all just to get on the scale! Eating has been out of control even for me and feel pudgy but clothes fit just fine and really really stressed at work so maybe I will jump on in the morning and post with my daily plan.

Thanks Meggie - this stress crap can really kick your butt in about 15 different ways, so I know what you mean. It's a tough situation and I'm not seeing a lot of relief on the horizon. I just hate listening to the news and seeing all the "bad news" about the job situation across the country.........It just suks!!!
