Speciality Surgery Center in Hurst

Good evening,

I have been "lurking" on this site for over 2 years and this is my 1st post. I have a surgery date for the lap band on 8-27-10 & I'm so very excited & very scared, as this is my very 1st surgery and my nerves are a wreck & I'm sure the anxiety will increase the closer the date gets. 

My question is this, I'm having my surgery @ the Speciality Surgery Center in Hurst, and I'm just wondering if anyone has had there procedure there? And what there experience was. I would greatly appreciate this information.

 My niece had her lap band done there about a month ago.    It is a very nice facility and she had a good experience there.    Dr. Smith did her surgery ( Fort Worth Lap band ).    Congrats on your upcoming WLS.

wish you had posted sooner ! if you get this in time come join us at Central Market inFt worth at the coner of Hulen and I30!! Congrats on your surgery date!! We will make room on the loosers bench for you!! Sorry, I don't know anything about that hospital!

I had my lapband surgery there in July 2007. Dr, Smith also did my surgery. Everyone at the Surgery Center went out of their way to make me comfortable, they are a very caring group of people. I had to check in at 7:00 a.m. and surgery was scheduled at 8:00 a.m.Things could not have gone any better, i was in the car and on the way home at 10:30 a.m. Congratulations on your surgery, you will do great. It is normal to feel the way you do it is just the fear of the unknown. You will be on the losers bench before you know it.
