Good news is a possibility this weekend....

We have an offer on my other house, and to me this offer is very acceptable.  I have 'run' the numbers to determine what we will net after closing, and I think it will be acceptable to my sister as well.  We will present a counter offer, but the original offer is very much acceptable if it is not taken.  The only 'problem' with the whole deal, is that they want to move in on Tuesday, August 17th!!!  That means we really do have to empty the house of the remaining furniture at the same time that we are presenting our counter offer.  My sister lives in Dalton (near Chattanooga) so the only time for them to really help is tomorrow.  Anywho, I will let you know how things further progress...apparently third time is the charm on contract offers...

 That is FANTASTIC news Norma.......who knows.....maybe they will accept your counter offer and you will make even  more money.   WOO  HOO !!!!!   Sorry that you will have to clear the house out so quickly.    But hey....at least you got a acceptable offer really soon.

This is the 3rd offer in the last month to six weeks.  We were with one agent for a year, but we changed agents back in late May, and since then we have had quite a bit of activity.  I am so ready for this house to sell.  The internal turmoil needs to end...ya know, the ups and the downs part. 

Wow that is fast!! Beautiful area tho!! Spent many summers in Sewanee just up the mountain from Chattanooga!! Good luck with the offer!!

Just got off the phone with her and it is not even 7:00 AM our time and they have about got it EMPTY!  Know she'll be much happier camper when this house is sold.
