 Good morning everyone.

So...I'm scheduled for exploratory lap surgery on the 26th.  The surgeon can't see exactly what is going on but there is part of my intestine that is swollen.  The PA said according to the surgeon that is indicative of an internal hernia.  I am staying positive...I mean, if this is the worst of my surgical complications I'm very lucky!  I guess what has me down is the 2 weeks between now and my surgery where I will get to eat nothing more than protein shakes.  I hurt every time after I eat but it hurts less I drink a shake.  I just hope I'm not "sick" of them when this whole thing is over.

Positive thoughts...positive thoughts.

I'm going to a friends house this weekend for a little party.  Then over to work on some sewing projects with a friend.

I'm so sorry you are going to have to have surgery. I've had a few exploratory surgeries due to unknown reasons like yours. I've had bowel obstructions and a regular hernia. Its not fun. I know, because I've had fun before, and that's not it! lol. A friend of mine that is chronically ill says that. I do hope the next few weeks pass by quickly. Hopefully you'll find some shakes that taste a bit better or maybe get a variety pack so you don't get sick of 1 kind.

Yesterday was okay at work-I made it all day. I was in a ton of pain though by the time I got home. Today I have to drive because I have an appt at 7:45am near the house. So, I am hoping that it will go well. The doc said I could drive the Monday after surgery but I haven't driven yet.

That's my big exciting day. Driving and work. lol. I'm excited about heading to Central Market Sat morning. That's the only plans we have for the weekend I believe.

 Jenn....I am so sorry that you are going through this.   I am surprised that your doc is letting this go so long. ....especially with swollen intestines.    Remember I just had hernia surgery 2 weeks ago and it was huge and my intestines was in the middle of it.     Hope  your situation isn't the same as mine was.   My doc said it could have been very bad !!!   Prayers being said for you and for the pain....no fun at all !!!!  Good luck with your shakes.   Please keep us updated on you.

Good Morning! It is the begining of a busy 9 day stretch culminating in a huge event at work! one of our big venders Jay Strongwater, is having a personal appearance and signing event on wednesday! I of course have a huge goal that I am working really hard to make happen. So I volunteered to work all weekend! I will be at Central Market Sat morning! Ken will take the kiddos to the circus this weekend and I know they will have a grand time with grandpa!! Well I am off to make it a great day or just fake it!!

On vacation this week so not much planned for today other then getting a hair cut this morning.  Will probably do a little shopping and house cleaning.

Not much happening on the ranch today. I keep hearing thunder so I've waited all day for at least some cloud cover to cool things off. Got some fun sewing done, got to read a bit...today has turned into a slug day.....and I'm enjoying it!
