Well as you can see, my usual insomnia is in high gear, so im up and have been most of the night. Headed to mom's this weekend, long time friend's dad is on hospice and they have given him 2 weeks.  Going to see him and say my last good byes. Im praying 2 weeks is all he has left and that his hospice nurses are as kind and compassionate as our GINA
Been helping Alisa as much as i can , and making sure she stays off her feet as much as possible.
So glad that Que's eyeball is doiong well.  Hope everyone else is recouping well also!
Love to all and stay hydrated!!!

I am up and moving!!!  The eye is good so back to work today.  I can see much better today and I was pleased with yesterday, so I am good.

Got a lot of catch up to do at work.  Lots of paper to sling in the next 2 days.  At least I will be able to see it.  Tom has lots on his schedule too.  He best get busy.

Thank you for the prayers, you know I believe in them.....Love to all.

Good morning all! Busy day in my world-but aren't they all?? I am blessed, so I'll shut up and not think about my aching back, throbbing head, grouchy pouch, etc, etc..lol...

Speaking of TRAIN MAN DAVID-I was in touch with him the other day. They recently got back from their annual Mexican beach vacation. I tried not to be tooooooooo jealous, cuz I love him and his family so much. His youngest son, Matthew, had a reaction to a henna tattoo, so now has a sorta permanent tattoo of an eagle. I told David it could have been alot worse than an eagle, had they let Matthew chose his OWN tat...

LIZ-I pray your friend has a "peaceful passing". It can be one of the most beautiful times in a person's life-for everyone involved-if it's handled correctly. I betcha his nurses will be great and YOU will know if they are "called" to do what they are doing or not. You know I'd be there, if I could-and I'm always a text away...

QUE-back to work already--REALLY????...said with sarcasm...Can you not let yourself REST???? Pot talking to kettle here, I know..but..still...I worry about you...

ALISSA-pls follow doc orders on that foot-nerves are nothing to play with-I'm finding out the hard way-Who knew they could hurt so much?? Sheesh...

Special prayers for LYNNETTE and her mama-they stay on my heart

Hope everyone has a great day-try to stay hydrated-no matter what!!!

thank you Gina... im sure he has wonderful nurses. He was just transferred to a brand new inpatient hospice center... my spies tell me its a beautiful facility. You know i will have my evil eye out.. not like its my first rodeo in this area :)
We have been blessed with having him this entire last year as he was not expected to live this long. He was able to live to his 50th wedding anniversary and one more big family christmas.
Will text you if i need you.. you know that :)
Love you!

 Hello Texas.

I didn't make it to my surgeon's office yesterday.  Wednesday they do their informational seminar in the morning for people interested in WLS so I knew I wasn't going to be able to get in through the morning and his MA called to say he got pulled out of the office in the afternoon.  So I'm headed in this afternoon after work.

I do feel much better.  Still far from 100% .  I really do think Tuesday was an uber bad gas attack and the pain left over was because something inside was basically stretched out.  My tummy still feels a little off and I have a headache.  I'm betting the headache was due to lack of my coffee all day yesterday.  I'm going to sip on a small cup today.  I hate that I'm addicted enough that even 1 cup a day is a 'need' but I have to do something to get rid of this headache and Tylenol isn't touching it.

Take care all.  Have a great day.

Good morning WLS Express folks...You're just as good as trainman in my books Liz...glad you cranked it up this morning.  Sorry to hear about your friends dad.  It's a good thing you are going to visit this weekend.  I'm sure your mom will be glad to see you again soon.  Take care of Alissa and her foot.  Gina's right.  Nerve issues are not a good thing and hurt!

Que...glad you are able to go back to work...just don't overdo it.

We're moving Ben's stuff to his apartment in Bryan today.  Loading wasn't too bad yesterday.  I'm not even sore after lifting dressers, sofas, recliner, etc. so guess my muscles are in good shape.  It actually only took an hr. or so to load it all up.  Going up 3 flights of stairs to the apt. won't be as easy, but I won't be carrying the furniture, just big bags, totes, etc.

Prayers for all who need them.

Have a great Thursday!

Karla

PLEASE don't anyone misunderstand-I wasn't slamming LIZ's "ability" to start the train...I guess what I miss are "the days" of TRAIN MAN DAVID..when we all here and all family, etc....seems like years ago...hell, I guess it WAS years ago...LIZ--you're doing just fine!!
