XP- Self Pay in Dallas, TX

Hello. I would like to know if any of you were self pay with any of the following doctors in Dallas, Texas: David Kim, Nick Nicholson, or Wade Barker.

If so, would you please tell me about your experience. I am particularly interested in: surgery type, cost, what was included in the cost, and if you were happy with the self-pay process.

PS...I had VSG a 2.5 weeks ago with Dr. Nicholson, but I am asking for my mother, who will probably be self-pay and will probably be RNY or DS.

Hi there, I don't think any of these surgeon's do DS. I am one of Dr. Kim's patients but I was not self pay but I do know that he has his self pay prices posted on his website. Good luck to your Momma !!!!

Thanks so much for the info and well wishes. Dr. Barker's site does say that he does the DS, but he is the only one of the three.

I am sorry to have misinformed you about Dr. Barker. I saw one of his signs monday afternoon going to Forest Park Medical Center for my hernia surgery with Dr. Kim. I didn't see DS on his sign. The only one that I knew in the general area who did that surgery was Darrell Stewart in Denton. Thanks for pointing that out to me. Good luck again to your Momma on her chosing a doc and surgery. If it counts for anything....Dr. Kim is AMAZING....doc and person. He started surgery monday at 6:30 AM and started my hernia surgery at 10 PM. That is dedication to his patients !!!

I was self pay with Dr Nick (Sleeve) his prices are one the website (as you most likely know).

Self pay is at Forrest Park.. whick was all very nice. Let me know if you need more details :)

I was a self pay (DS) with Dr. Stewart in Denton. You can check out his website for cost all the surgeries. My pymt with very smooth--not complaints. I really like Dr. Stewart--My daugther-in-law also used Dr. Stewart for her RYN ( but she had insurance)---

My husband Bryan was self-pay last year with Dr Kim and had the VSG at Forrest Park Medical Center. Loved the surgeon and the facility-a great experience. About $13k for the whole thing.
