Continue to keep your thoughts and prayers for the members of our Armed Forces serving around the world, especially during this time of increased awareness. Please thank God for these men and women every day. In addition, please keep the wives and family members in your thoughts.
PEOPLE SEEKING EMPLOYMENT: Pray not just for employment, but also that they adjust to the stress the lack of employment brings.
Upcoming Surgeries/current hospitalization:
Phyllis - echocardiogram and stress test on 8/10
Norma - prayers for upcoming cataract surgery (8/15) for her father.
Recovering from surgery:
Kim G. had her gall bladder removed on 7/27
Vivian - surgery 7/26
Other prayer requests:
Avis is requesting prayers of clarity as she tries to make a decision regarding her employment at her current company, she now has a new supervisor. She needs to make sure any move she makes is the Lord's choice.
George - requests prayer for my coworker and friend Sharlene who has been undergoing cancer treatments for a couple of years now. She is underwent some experimental treatment in Louisiana on 7/28. This treatment has been successful for her previously, she goes back every six months. So far, so good on this one.
Jennifer - THEY HAVE AN OFFER!!! Yes!! Great news, . The house needs some repairs to pass code and Jennifer and Mike need to come up with the money for closing. May the sale go through with no problems
Michelle S. - Her uncle has been passed away. Her Dad is having a hard time dealing all the issues associated with the loss of loved ones.
Nina - Pray for her daughter to be able to sustain herself financially as she started her new job/apartment. Her cousin Troy with his health issues. And for Nina as she awaits her unemployment extension.
Norma - They made a counter offer to the people interested in buying the house, waiting for a reply. Prayer for her parents health issues.
Phyllis requests prayer for her co-worker Norma B. who will be out of work for 3-4 months. She has loss the use of her right hand, unknown for how long now.
Ruth - a friend from OFF. Her father is dying, and the family is having a hard time with it.

Just a quick update on the house. We received the inspection report this afternoon. There's about $1000 in repairs/updates to get things up to code. Our Realtor is coordinating bids from a plumber and electrician. Michael may go down there Wednesday through Saturday to supervise repairs.
I'm working on moving money around. We're about $2K short for closing right now and these repairs/updates will put us a little further back. I'm so ready to close this chapter. Please keep praying that everything goes smoothly.

You are a wonderful friend, and I love that you have the heart and take the time out to care about each one of us and keep this post going. So thank you for that.
I had my HIDA scan yesterday, and we played the game of, "Let's find the missing organ". It took 5 hours for my gallbladder to show up on the scan, when it should have shown up immediately. There are blocked ducts, and the gallbladder is inflamed, so it is coming out. Still waiting to hear back from Dr. Nick about when and where.

Ok, you know how I feel - wish the NIGH****chman would continue as it was and you KNOW I'm gonna nag you constantly until you do, but for now, weekly is ok. You have NO idea what a difference you make to people, despite the few responses/posts you get. I think everyone just gets comfy knowing you are there every night for them.
The girls are all over at my sister's house. I came back over to my mom and dad's as the next door neighbor ran a hose from his house to ours and wants us to just use water from his house. He was like, "OMG, do NOT be withou****er, tap into ours". Dad got the broken water line exposed and then used the ditch witch to make the deep trench for the new water line. He cut through the phone line but one of our neighbors is a retired phone company line layer so he was down helping dad and told him if he cuts through it he will immediately patch it and sure enough, he did just that. From the time the line was cut to the time it was working again was all of 10 minutes! It's SO nice to see people helping one another like the "old days". Two other neighbors of ours were out helping dad earlier in the day. That's just how it is around here. We're out in country so down our road, there are only seven houses and everyone jus****ches out for one another. SO refreshing!!! Their house is surrounded by corn and soybean fields. When the winds blow, the fields are mesmorizing to watch. I sat on the sidewalk the other day with Schnitzel and literally could have just fallen asleep out there.
Guess I'd better hit the hay...
