Glad to see you back!!! Glad you guys had a good time and got home safe and sound.
We had a get-together at one of my uncle's on Saturday. Saw a few relatives who haven't seen me in years. OMG, it was so cool because one of them just about fell over. He was so happy for me! I had sent him photos so he had an idea of what kind of weight loss I had but of course seeing someone in person is so much different. That was definitely a cool "reunion" of sorts. I also saw a couple relatives who were completely put off by my weight loss. I was pretty much the "ugly duckling" due to my weight as a kid, but now, the tables were turned and the two who used to make fun of me have put on lots of weight. I could have been a jerk about it but instead, just gave them hugs and never mentioned weight or my weight loss surgery AT ALL. They all knew I had it done so there was no need for me to rub it in. I could have, but that's just not my style. First and foremost, I feel for ANYONE who has weight issues, regardless of what has been said/done in the past. Had they asked me about it, I would have offered them my thoughts on it but since they didn't, it wasn't my place to bring it up.
Definitely had a smile on my face though knowing I was lookin' good!

Hope everyone has a great week!!!
People did comment on Mary, however, many had not seen her since her Parkinsons Disease diagnosis. It is tough watching her sometimes. Her posture is really bad as a result of the PD. One shoulder is much lower than the other and she walks slouched over. Can't even correct it by trying to stand up straight. But she is alive and otherwise healthy, therefor happy.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
Sorry no update since the last. You can keep my mom on the prayer list because they still aren't sure why she feels so bad. The cardio cath showed no significant blockage since her stents last year, PTL! But it doesn't explain all of her symptoms. They are referring her to a few specialists to investigate why she has so little energy, leg pain and weakness and some other stuff.
Thanks everyone for praying for her before and after the cath! Dawn
Sorry I'm yet a day late, again. Thank you for updating our prayer request on the SAT house. Everyone keeps telling me I should be celebrating, but I just can't until I know for sure the deal is going to go through. Today started the 10 day period for the buyer to get the inspection and appraisal completed. If those go smoothly, we'll know we have a deal. Then, I'll celebrate.
With the current deal, we still have to take $7K to closing, so I'm scrambling for that. I've got $5K, but the last $2K is going to be much harder to come by. I could probably borrow it from my mom if needed, but I really don't want to do that. I just have to have faith that it will all come together.
Thank you for keeping us on the prayer list for so long. I really do appreciate it.
It sounds like your reunion was nice with the exception of the loss of your former player. Welcome home!
