I wanted to know if yall had a waiting period before you can have wls?? I was wondering because I can get a job there and I wanted to know if it would be worth it or if I should stay where I am at. The place I am currently at has a 2 yr waiting period.

No, but it doesn't surprise me as I have read about people looking for jobs at companies that cover WLS just to get the surgery.  Hell, in 2 years they could drop WLS coverage altogether!

Sorry for the rant, but it ****** me off that insurance companies will cover heart bypass surgery which has the same life-saving effects but won't cover WLS.

I know I think its completely crazy you have no idea what can happen in two years. Maybe I should try starbucks or something as a second option.

I saw a story on the news last night about a couple who decided their 6 kids weren't enough, so they adopted someone else's frozen embryos(x3), so they can have MORE kids.
Their insurance picked up the medical part of this insane venture!! It pissed me off!
Not only do we have too many ppl on the Earth, but insurance pays for this, but not live saving procedures? (they didn't say what insurance co)

They have recently changed criteria, and I think there is now a 12 month wait. I deleted that particular email, though, so don't have the details....

I had to be on the insurance for 1 yr but, they did assign my case manager and let me begin my 6 month dr supervised diet before the year was up.
