Love in Friday!!

Todays shout out may startle some of you but I would like to thank Katherine Ratcliff! She introduced me to the wonderful people who now meet at the Rise & Shine who in turn introduced me to OH! Without her I would have never met all of you! And I could have nevermade it through this journey without all of you!!!
Meggie
MEGGIE-you're right-WE do have KATHY R to thank for bringing YOU to ME....we don't have to thank Danny too-do we???...lol....
My "pick of the week" is QUE. OMG, where do I start and still get to work on time....
I first met QUE and TOM shortly before they both had surgery-on the same day-and TOM's birthday. If you don't know what they've been thru, read QUE's profile, or ask for a "summary"...I'll never get thru this-neither will my mascara, if I try to say TOO much.
QUE has been a pillar for SOOOOO many-not just for TOM, and not just for ME, but today she is MINE. She holds you accountable in her quiet, all knowing way. She is supportive and guiding, without being judgmental. Many call her "Mama Que"...to me she is SISTER, cuz there's not much difference in our ages-but she is WAY wiser than me. You don't come out on the other side of what she has been thru these past years and not be either totally scrambled or really, really SMART. She chose the high road.
I wish all of you could have been in that WalMart the day QUE tried on a SMALL shirt AND IT FIT. We even had the salesladies bawling-a true golden moment and I'm THRILLED to have been able to share HER moment with HER.
Hats off to MY "pick of the Week"...QUE !!!

We Can Do Hard Things
OMG Gina. You honor and humble my soul. It was you, Charlene and our Dear TrainMan, David, who gave us the courage to walk into the Coffee Bean that first time. Papa Jack welcomed us with open arms. The rest of our struggle is history.
I look forward now, not back and what I see is a family that will care for us, as we will them. There is not a person here we would not go to the ends of the earth to help. I have more friends now because of the TMB than I could ever have hoped. I see us all growing old together and laughing all the way. We will have our loses, a family always does in on way or the other, but we will remain. I want you or your clone to be my final nurse, because I know you will guide me with love and diginity.
Now, go fix that mascara.
Be Kinder than Necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
Sorry for not making a separate thread about his remission. I'm so sick of talking about cancer I'd rather just ignore it from now on. Cancer schmancer.
Love you Gina. And there's nothing YOU can do about it, either!
