Great Doctor Report @ 3 Years
2 Doctor visits this week - follow up to breast cancer & Endocrinologist for my thyroid disease...
1st - I'm 3 years completely clean on the mamogram and can now go back to annual exams!!!!! HUGE success and win for me! Surgeon says losing the weight has made a HUGE difference!
2nd - My 6 mo visit and check up with specialist requires extensive bloodwork and I was thrilled to find out that I get an A++ according to the doctor :) I'm stinking healthy now!
Only thing going on with me is that I'm anemic - but already knew that and working to fix!
Best thing of all - my vitamin levels including B-12 and Vitamin D are strong - he told me that whatever I'm doing ~ keep up the good work! You go... Bariatric Advantage!!!!
So - in spite of life giving me a few lemons these days, this was wonderful news. Thank you to all my OH friends!

LISA-I don't think "being stalled at goal for 8 months" can be considered a BAD thing...lol...You are a beautufyl person, inside and out, and an inspiration to all of us.
Please DO keep working on that anemia and don't let it get away from you-so many of us suffer from in, in varying degrees. I have been blessed, but many have had very severe anemia problems.
Keep up the EXCELLENT reports!!!

I'm with Gina-being stalled at "goal" is a great thing unless you think your goal is not low enough. If you're within a 1-2 pound range then you're eating exactly what you need to do in order to maintain. Are all your choices "healthy"? and is that why your questioning what you eat? "Normal" people don't eat healthy 100% of the time either. I love my snacks and junk food- it's just I now have 1-2 bites instead of a whole bag or box.
Sounds to me like you got wonderful reports from both doctors so celebrate and keep doing what you're doing!!

RNY revision from lapband 7/30/07...TT/BL 10/9/08 and at GOAL
I'm eating too many carbs lately, but do keep it under control to a point as I weigh once a week as use that as a barometer for good or better choices throughout the next week.
Wish I had more time to workout, but my job is killing me these days with a very demanding schedule and long hours. So, my biggest issue is letting the exercise slip and then I just feel like a slug...
On another note though, I'm heading out for a GNO (girls night out) tonight, so if dancing counts as exercise - I should be set for at least 2 days with the calorie burn!
Take care all and have a great 4th of July!
