ALL ABOARD!!!!

Today's topic came to mind because of a couple of posts I was catching up on....

1) What throws a monkey wrench into your routine?  Work, Stress, letting your guard down, something out of the norm?
2) Let's all come up with some ideas on how to deal with these dang monkeys... cause I'm tired of them riding my back.... LOL

Good Morning Train!

WOOOHOOOO for Tuesday!  And boy is it going to be a hot one out there today!  Ya'll remember to take some water if you have to go out in it....

1) What throws a monkey wrench into your routine?  Work, Stress, letting your guard down, something out of the norm?  For me it's not being in the office, whether that's the weekend or working from home, it's not my normal routine so I get off track...
2) Let's all come up with some ideas on how to deal with these dang monkeys... No, the answer is not working 7 days a week, LOL But maybe it is getting into a routine for these days, getting up at a set time, etc.... I'll have to think about it some.

Prayers are going up for all that need them!

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's Mr. Bojangles is on the turntable....

I knew a man Bojangles and he'd dance for you
In worn out shoes
With silver hair, a ragged shirt, and baggy pants
The old soft shoe
He jumped so high, jumped so high
Then he lightly touched down

I met him in a cell in New Orleans I was
down and out
He looked to me to be the eyes of age
as he spoke right out
He talked of life, talked of life, he laughed
clicked his heels and stepped

He said his name "Bojangles" and he danced a lick
across the cell
He grabbed his pants and spread his stance,
Oh he jumped so high and then he clicked his heels
He let go a laugh, let go a laugh
and shook back his clothes all around

Mr. Bojangles, Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles, dance

He danced for those at minstrel shows and county fairs
throughout the south
He spoke through tears of 15 years how his dog and him
traveled about
The dog up and died, he up and died
And after 20 years he still grieves

He said I dance now at every chance in honky tonks
for drinks and tips
But most the time I spend behind these county bars
'cause I drinks a bit
He shook his head, and as he shook his head
I heard someone ask him please

Mr. Bojangles, Mr. Bojangles
Mr. Bojangles, dance..

Ya'll have a great day my friends!

GOOD MORNING KAREN AND FELLOW TMBER'S !!

1) What throws a monkey wrench into your routine?  Work, Stress, letting your guard down, something out of the norm?
For me - I do so much better during the weekend.  If I eat - I  eat - if not..........I eat !!  lol......When I'm at work - the hands are constantly needing to grab something.....mindset has got to change !!
2) Let's all come up with some ideas on how to deal with these dang monkeys... cause I'm tired of them riding my back.... LOL

I try to stay really busy at work.  all 3 jobs are production oriented so when I'm extremely swamped and can't see the light at the end of the tunnel - time flies and I don't try to fill the time with foolish snacks, etc....

YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY !!  I KNOW I WILL

Good morning.

1) What throws a monkey wrench into your routine?  Work, Stress, letting your guard down, something out of the norm?
I can get into a routine, but if I get sick or something and get out of the routine, I quit for a long time...bad habit

2) Let's all come up with some ideas on how to deal with these dang monkeys... cause I'm tired of them riding my back.... LOL
Stick to it...if you have to quit exercising or eat comfort food for a few days because your sick...get right back to eat and make no excuses.  I'm way better getting back to eating correctly than exercising like I should!

Just here today sewing, running some errands in town and going to the park to walk before all that!  My mind was already set.

Prayers for Becky's foot, Steph, the King, Michelle's mom and all others who need them.

Have a great day!

Karla

Good topic Karen!!  I'm going to have to think about it for a bit.  I can usually roll with the punches in my routine, though lately it's been car issues that have thrown me for a loop.  So maybe for me it's unexpected mini-crises that throw me off balance.  I think the thing that helps me the most is to do lots of self talk and look at things realistically rather than letting myself get pulled into "its the end of the world" thinking.  Once I go there, I tend to say forget it and do (read eat) whatever I want to make myself feel better.  If I can talk myself down off the ledge I can usually start coming up with good solutions or at least the beginning of solutions to the problem.

Staying super busy at work, though I was able to nearly clean out my inbox yesterday.  I always feel like I've accomplished a lot when I can get down to just a few emails waiting for something by the end of the day.  We got Jeff's car fixed, much cheaper than the original shop indicated, so things are going better for us in the car world.  In fact, I wrote a very detailed letter to the shop that said the repair would be $900 and they are reimbursing us for the diagnostics they did and the towing charge to bring the car home.  It sure felt good to be able to get that resolved in a positive way.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I learned something a long time ago when I first started working for my company and it is a policy I try to live and that is keep the small things small. To me, it essential you can worry things you can not such example in my life right now my wifes car has to go into the shop yet again. My wife was upset about but not me because I know there is nothing I can do to change the fact but to tighten up the old household budget have the car repaired. One issue that keeps me from doing such things as getting goals done is when my allergies flare up, which keeps me from attending Tae Kwon Do. However, I am hoping to pick up some medication on my way home from work so I can go.

I think what a lot of us need to is stop and take a break. Also spend some time reflecting on our lives and what it will take to meet our individual goals in life we set. Everybody need to be able to relax and relieve stress in their lives. You just need to find what best help you . I know when I am ate work I try to listen to some music or step away from my desk take a little walk. It is nearly impossible to plan for every possible event or situation in our lives but with reflects, ethics, critical thinking, and good decison making skills we as humans can overcome any challenge presented to us.

I hope everyone a wonderful typical Texas day.
