Monday Morning Weigh-In
Hi Dee - you are doing great! You are also getting close to hitting Dr. Garth's goal of under-30 BMI, which puts you in the "Overweight" and out of the "Obese" category.
For my height that was 163 and I definitely wanted to lose more than that. I am happy with my mid-140's, which is a good thing because I don't have to work much at staying here and would have to work real hard to lose any more. This is where I stopped losing and where my body wants to be, so I am not fighting it I am 9 pounds from a "Normal BMI", but it just wouldn't match the rest of me and since nothing else about me is *normal*
So far maintenance hasn't been so bad - I just follow the rules most of the time - protein first, no water with my meals, go easy on the carbs and try to get some exercise. Some days it is easy when I am busy - some days I struggle.
I credit this board with preparing me for maintenance and knowing if I didn't follow the rules I would regain. I sure don't remember hearing much about regain at the doctor's office or classes. I was under the impression that the surgery did everything for you before I came on here. HA! I wish!!!
