Approved!!!

I just got off the phone with Aetna.  I had called on Friday like everyone suggested.  They didnt' have anything in the computer at that time.

I called again about an hour ago and left a message with the nurse handling my account.  She said it looks good to go.  She is submitting it to the medical director this afternoon (which is just a formality) and they should call me tomorrow morning with the official "Approved" after he signs off.  She said normally she would call me back today, but the med director was out of the office this afternoon.

Now, I just need to schedule the surgery!!!  I'm so excited!

Congrats!!  I remember the day I got my approval-I just wanted to shout it to everyone that would listen.  Now read everything you can get your hands on cuz the more prepared you are, the better.

 Congrats Betsy......Aetna is usually quick to approve the surgery if all the paperwork is submitted,
I will be looking tomorrow for you to post a surgery date !!!!

Way to go on being pro-active and calling them!

Both my surgeon's office and I were really amazed at how fast Aetna approved me too..... not near as bad as I was led to believe....

We'll be saving you a seat on the losers' bench!
