4 years out
Yesterday was my 4-year anniversary of my gastric bypass. I mostly don't think about it anymore. I can generally eat just about anything although bread still weighs heavy. Sometimes the volume I can eat surprises me and then sometimes I take two to three bites and can't eat anything else. Vitamins - still daily. Exercise -- been lazy the past month or two and have only gotten out to bike or spin maybe once a week. Still take dogs for 1mile walk daily. Funny, that used to be my exercise and now I don't even consider it exercise! Still staying at 163-167 pounds without really monitoring what I'm eating. My goal was 160-165 so I'm happy. Still low iron so I'm taking extra. Still feel fatigued from time to time so I pump up the iron, B12 and pay attention to how much protein I'm eating. Still no plastics. Badly need it on my face! And my tummy and arms and boobs. It hasn't been a priority yet strong enough to make me save the cash.

Thanks, Sarah. I hate to say it but I've really relaxed in the past couple of years. But this is what I'm currently doing:
Vitamins --- I always always always take my vitamins. I became almost anemic a few years back and was very fatigued.
Exercise -- if you want to call it exercise, I take my dogs on walks daily at a brisk pace (route = 1 mile). I have also gotten into spinning and cycling in the past two years. I started out in spin class 3-4 times per week. Then I bought a bike and got into cycling which I love! I do admit to being lazy this past month or two. I had an ankle injury that threw me off track and I've yet to climb back on regularly. But I miss it so if I could just get my butt out of bed...
Eating -- don't really watch protein grams anymore, but I probably should. I just got so tired of always writing down everything. I let how I feel be my judge and my annual blood tests. I eat and drink a variety of things -- it's still hit or miss. One day I can eat something and next day or week, I can't eat more than a few bites. Go figure.
I even forget to weigh myself. I may go a month and not even think about it. People who see me will say I've lost more weight but I haven't. It's probably muscle mass from the riding.
