Good evening all.  I am dog tired.  Did not get home from the doctor's appointment until 11 AM.  And I am up already because we have an appointment at 2.  Then we will be going to see Eddie's last regular season baseball game of the year.

I am having surgery on my shoulder on August 19.  There is an impingement on my rotator cuff.

I received an email from my DIL last night that brought tears to my eyes.  Thanking me for being her father.  And a lot of other mushy stuff.

Gotta go now.

Just a reminder, you need to TAKE YOUR VITAMINS  AND SUPPLEMENTS and make sure you get your daily allotment of PROTEIN.

If you are new to the board, this link explains what the NIGHT WATCHMAN is (if you are interested).  Otherwise, just read on, you will probably figure it out anyway.

I HAVE ONE THING TO SAY:               ITS FRIDAY !!
I'M SO FREAKIN' EXCITED....AND I STILL AM NOT AT 100%  BUT GETTING BETTER.

I am having surgery on my shoulder on August 19.  There is an impingement on my rotator cuff.
  WHAT !!!
Yeah - Mary texted me........  Hope all goes well -  no reason why it wouldn't............at least if  you get more use of your shoulder/arm afterwards  - it will be worth it...

Not much scheduled on my homefront this weekend.  The family picnic at Lake Eufaula, OK is this weekend and I"m NOT GOING. but I think Joey is gonna go w/ Amanda and her roommate -  that means -  I get the house to myself ......yeah...

I'm gonna work some, play some   ( I really want to go see Toy Story 3 this weekend sometime)     guess I'll do some chores, get some things ready for our road trip North and then just sleep some too...

I may treat myself to a new outfit at DressBarn for the School Reunion in ND - so hopefully I can find something that I like and looks decent on me too..........

Guess I'll go for now. The DWC (Division of w/c - wasn't nice to me )   I guess they didn't get that memo that I was leaving next week - so they cleared their desks prior to the 4th of July holiday weekend ! lol

Have a GREAT evening everyone !

  • Pease check out Dr. Connie Stapleton's Website. A lot of good information on there for all WLS patients regardless of the surgery you chose.  Good luck to all and I'm here for you if you want to send me an email.  I'll answer it as soon as possible.

Hey big bro....
Good grief, I disappear for a couple days and you throw a surgery into the mix!  My parents have been here a week so I have been trying to keep up with all their comings and goings!  They will leave on Tuesday with Sarah and V.  I will head up there once Heather is done with her summer school session.  Sarah has had a low grade fever since Tuesday so I took her to the pediatrician today.  Thank goodness for Saturday morning hours!  At any rate, she is on the virge of bronchitis so she is now on an antibiotic, plus has to use a nebulizer to help get meds down into her lungs.  Unfortunately that means mom and dad will have to drag that machine up there but if it keeps her from having to go back to the doctor and/or end up in the hospital with pneumonia, then it's worth dragging it up!  She absolutely HATES it though.  Typical kid response to being forced to do something, especially sitting still for 5-7 minutes!  My mom sits with her and plays "Go Fish" though so that helps make the time go by faster.

Heather is in Austin for a young women's youth group convention.  She will be back tomorrow.  The group left on Thursday so Heather had to meet up with them on Friday since she had school.  I was a bit irked because one of the chaperones said they would wait for her to get there and then after the convention opening thing on Friday, they were going to head out to dinner so Paul got her up there by 6:30 (opening started at 7pm).  She called me about 6:45 and said, "well, someone from the group made the "executive" decision to go to dinner early so I missed out on going to dinner with everyone".  I was NOT happy about that as this has happened to her before with other things she has agreed to participate in so I definitely intend on letting someone know once they get back that I didn't appreciate that and will think twice about allowing her to go (especially when they BEG to get people to participate).  If others have had the same experience, no wonder only a few end up going.  Problem is, though, that the same few who make those sudden changes are the ones always going (pastor's kid, etc.) so it will probably continue to happen....just not with MY kids there!  Just found that rude since they KNEW she was on her way up there.  Grrrr....

Well, I hope you have a FABULOUS Father's Day tomorrow!  That holds true for ALL our dads out there!

Ok, time to get Sarah's next breathing treatment...uuugh...
