The difference a year makes!
This time last year, I was sitting in a cold room waiting to be hooked up to all that fun machinery before heading into surgery. Wow, what a difference a year makes! I can quickly argue with anyone who insists having a gastric bypass is "the easy way out", but look back over my first year in this new body with excitement. I am still learning things that are safe and healthy for me to eat, rediscovering exercise, realizing just how far I can push my body and knowing that I may not have a stable wardrobe for quite some time and I am loving every minute of it! The friends I have made here and the family that has given un-ending support made the first year possible and hope you don't think the advice requests and the bazillion questions will ever stop!
I proudly stand 129 pounds and 47 inches smaller and healthier (and counting).
Thanks to all who have helped getting this wild adventure started!

GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO ACCEPT THE THINGS I CAN NOT CHANGE; COURAGE TO CHANGE THE THINGS THAT I CAN; AND THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE !!!! THIS IS MY DAILY PRAYER.
