Monday Morning Weigh-In
so if I post dumb questions
hey Phyllis... congrats on your 3lb loss and getting back on track!!! Remember, the only dumb questions.. are the ones not asked. In your previous post you asked about your shake, then perhaps eating oatmeal or something later. I know several answered, but thought i would butt in lol. When working, i usually have a shake on the way to work, then perhaps mid morning, have a cheese stick, ham/cheese roll up, something of that sort... something protein. I have only had oatmeal probably a handful of times in the 4 +years since surgery. Keep in mind, oatmeal is carb only.... as in you will be HUNGRY in an hour or so because it will make your blood sugar crash. So, if you are TRUELY HUNGRY mid morning, then have protein, if its just head hunger, drink some water instead :)

Thanks Liz - yeah - I haven't eaten a whole box of instant oatmeal in the past 2 yrs either......I have it here in my desk when I need it.
I made it through that hump and DIDN'T EAT. I did have cheese here in my luch box and ate 2 pieces.......- and ate lunch at about 1130 or so.............
Right now - 311pm - I'm hungry............this is NOT head hunger - will go down to store and see if they have some fruit since I didn't bring the Cottage Chese and fruit that I carried with me all week last week !! I'm so not prepared today.........but I'll make it..........I'll run home between jobs and get something DECENT !!

It's always easier to ride the momentum of a good loss, so keep it up and post here a lot to help keep you focused and motivated. Doesn't matter how far out you are - we all need encouragement and food ideas to get out of our eating rut or to keep the scale moving in the right direction.
