1 Year Ago Today
Well about this time 1 year ago I was coming out of a 3 1/2 hour surgery by Dr. Garth Davis to remove my Molina Band and convert it to a RNY. Boy how time flies when you are having fun.
I have lost a 110 lbs and feel the best I have every felt.
All my labs have been great and what I thought at first was gonna be a struggle to get in all my liquids, protein & vits has become just a way of life and not so bad after all. I have had some ups and downs this past year; but none due to my surgery most have been with my dad being very sick.
I must say for once in my life I'm so proud of myself and give myself a pat on the back.
Funny after my husband saw easy this was going for me and that I have learned to take it all in stride he decided hey this is not so bad and he started seeing Dr. Balette in The Woodlands and he will be having surgery June 9Th. I'm so happy for him. I told him we will be cheap dates we can order something and split it. LOL
I give a shout out to each and everyone of you that have been on this journey and to those that have just begun what a ride it is; but oh how it is so much fun. Also so a big THANKS to Dr. Garth for taking me on with on of the worst cases he had ever seen with the Molina bad if it where not for him and his dad I have no clue where I would stand today. Probably being very very sick.
Also thanks to each and everyone of you for all your support. I may not post a lot but I read a lot and have got some of the best advise from the Texas Message Board that I think is out there.
Thank You Thank You Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!
