Whew! It's HOT out there!!!

It's less than 2 weeks until we leave for Roatan and I have to get some sun on these lily white body parts or I'm going to burn to a crisp down there. So starting the end of last week I've been pluggin in some tunes on the cell phone and sitting in the sun for about 20 minutes....don't want to over do it! But I can already tell the difference, although the tops of my knees seem to be the darkest! How did we do this as kids and get those even bronze skin tones? Oh yeah...youth and supple skin probably had something to do with it! Age spots do detract from the overall color! And the Baby Oil with Iodine may have had something to do with it, too! Ahh....youth!

Today it's in the 90's and the humidity is way up there, the air just feels hot and wet. I was drenched in sweat in less than 10 minutes. I think we're going to go ahead and put our little pool up this weekend, it would sure be nice to slip into some cool water about now! The yard man said he's treat it while we're gone so there goes Beast's argument for waiting until we get back! LOL! Until then maybe I'll hook up the hose with the shower head on it!

OK...who else is try to get a little color before vacation...or the cruise?

Once I tried baby oil with iodine, justt once, was in the sun for 5 hours, talk about crispy.  And as a kid I was dark, now I am sooo pale.

I'm still worried about what I've done to myself from the baby oil with iodine days...ugh!  Don't forget the reflectors that you laid on and put up to your face too, those really got you a good burn!

 Dee......I don't tan.   LOL  I have burned so badly SO many times in my life...I gave up.   LOL   I just burn and blister and then pill like a snake.    I will just have to deal with lilly white skin.    Good luck on your tan.   PLease stay cool and drink lots of fluids while outside and after.    Hope you and Beast have a wonderful trip.   Take lots of photos !!!
