It is designed more for maintenance not newbies, hence the name "Main"stayers.  I am not "at or near" goal but am there with my extra 30 to 40 lbs.  I never got to the lowest goal I had and may never get there, but I lost 150 lbs. so am part of group  and proud to be so.

Lynne, if it is in the middle of Houston, it is way farther away for some of us that are in outlying areas.  Since Paige was kind enough to start the group, she held the first meeting near her home.  Last month they tried rotating it,but it's hard to get everyone together when it changes every month.  If you would like to come to Spring, everyone would love to have you.

I am not AT goal either in fact I am even up a little which is why I for one need a group like this .... you do not have to be at goal but like they said it is nice to have a group that is not having to SHARE protien recipes or favorite types or what to eat during each phase.  Not that we mind at all!!!!! I attend other groups and help facilitate another group just for that reason....mentoring others helps keep me focused but by all means to anyone interested.....send Paige a message and ask....she is not excluding anyone and if saturdays are the only day that you can get to a support group and you are less than a year out....contact Paige and let her know.  But we like to talk about what is going on with us further out....struggling to get off the last few pounds, dealing with weight gain, how to maintain, how to change up excercise/eating as it is becoming too routine and much more!!!

Lynne, it would be nice if you can join us now and then!  Would love to see you!!!

I am soooo there!

And I agree.....I am sooooo far away from my goal, I still need to lose about a 100 lbs to get to my personal goal weight, but I feel like I am in "maintenance mode" right now because I have been stuck at 270-273 for the past 3-4 months. I do not want to be in maintenance mode right now....but it is what it is. I just need to keep trying to break this barrier to carry on with my journey.
But because I am almost 2 years out from surgery.....I consider myself a part of this group too.

Mary I just saw your ticker-what an incredible job you have done.  Pat yourself on the back and keep on doing what you know works.  Plus I bet you can subtract about 30 lbs for excess skin so see you really a lot closer than you think!!

Thank you Stephanie! You are correct...I have come a LONG way and I am so proud of myself for what I have accomplished so far. I just want the scale to move in the right direction again. Hmmm...maybe my scale is broken? LOL  Yes....there is definitely ALOT of skin that could be removed. I tell myself quite often that if I COULD remove the skin, I'd probably be in the 250 range. That makes me feel alot better. LOL
