GOOD MORNING!!! How was your weekend? So today- move it move it. My foot is starting to feel better though I easily overdue it so I'm not ready to get back to walking for exercise yet. How do you move it? Yoga? Home videos? What advice to you have for folks who are just starting to exercise? And what do you have for the advanced ones that need to shake it up a little?

Give us your idea for how to move it move it, like the song!

Good Morning!!

Had a very nice time at my daughter's graduation last Thursday.  Was very happy to see her walk across that stage! I got to see my Mom too!  We returned Saturday morning and caught up with the house chores! I swear David takes this Mexican thing way too serious!!! LOL

Yesterday was a lazy day.  He brought me flowers and a really nice card.  I had many messages yesterday from many who I least expected it from.  To me those are just signs my baby boy was thinking of me.

Did a bit of homework yesterday too.  I did get a fill last week with the new doctor (Dr. Marquez).
I really liked her.  I've heard nothing but good things about her.

Well, that's it for me this morning!  I hope everyone has a great day/week!!

By the way.... I MISS YOU ALL!!!

Blessings,

Nina

Good Morning Train!

WOOOOHOOO for Mondays!  As ya'll know that's my endorphin high speaking, I move it move it every work day morning in the gym. The torture of choice lately has been the recumbent bike because I've discovered I can read and ride at the same time! I'm doing the strength training program with the resistance cranked up and usually 45 mins worth.  This morning I have no idea how long I rode because when I looked up from my book the program had stopped and I was still peddling along, LOL  For those starting out, just remember it's not a race and it's not about doing 30 mins straight without stopping, it's about DOING.... Just Do IT... the rest will follow... As for the shaking up, I'm waiting to be shook.... LOL

Prayers are going out to all that need them!

Bad Company's Shooting Star is next up on our hit parade.... LOL

Johnny was a schoolboy when he heard his first Beatle song,
'Love me do,' I think it was. From there it didn't take him long.
Got himself a guitar, used to play every night,
Now he's in a rock 'n' roll outfit,

And everything's all right, don't you know?

Johnny told his mama, hey, 'Mama, I'm goin' away. I'm gonna hit the big
time, gonna be a big star someday', Yeah.
Mama came to the door with a teardrop in her eye.
Johnny said, 'Don't cry, mama, smile and wave good-bye'.

Don't you know, yeah yeah, Don't you know that you are a shooting star,
Don't you know, don't you know. Don't you know that you are
a shooting star, And all the world will love you just as long,
As long as you are.

Johnny made a record, Went straight up to number one,
Suddenly everyone loved to hear him sing the song.
Watching the world go by, surprising it goes so fast.
Johnny looked around him and said, 'Well, I made the big time at last'.

Don't you know, don't you know, Don't you know that you are
a shooting star,
Don't you know, oh, yeah, Don't you know that you are
a shooting star, yeah,
And all the world will love you just as long,
As long as you are, a shooting star.

Don't you know that you are a shooting star, Don't you know, yeah,
Don't you know that you are a shooting star, now,
And all the world will love you just as long, As long you are you.

Johnny died one night, died in his bed, Bottle of whiskey,
sleeping tablets by his head. Johnny's life passed him by like a
warm summer day, If you listen to the wind you can still hear him play

Oh oh oh, Don't you know that you are a shooting star,
Don't you know, yeah, don't you know', Don't you know that
you are a shooting star,
Don't you know, yeah,
Don't you know that you are a shooting star,
Don't you, don't you,
don't you, don't you,
Don't you know, don't you
know, oh, yeah, you are,
Yeah, a shooting star, yeah, oh
oh oh oh oh......
Don't you, don't you know
that you are a shooting star,
Don't you don't you know......

Ya'll have a great day my friends!

Good Morning OH Family!

Weekend spent rocking and taking care of a sick Laylabug. She has a stomach virus that is going around. But at least fever yesterday was not 104-105 like it was on Friday and Saturday. Hmmm...how do I move it? Hate to say but only move it running around and working. Was walking an average of 8=12 miles a night at work, but new position I do not walk at all. Looking for a new job need to get off 3rd shift  to work daytime hours. Weight is at my hightest right now than it has been since I reached goal over 2 years ago. Can't blame it on any thing but making choices to eat more carbs than protein. Getting back into the old stress eating habits. Well going to go and try and lay back down before Laylabug wakes up again. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Your loved!

Good morning.  I chose to move it, move it today riding my bike.  That chore is done!  It actually makes me feel better about my day when I do.

Plenty to do at work.  Testing and writing reports from testing.  I get to come home after work today.  that's a good thing.  Ben will leave this morning.  He has finals at A & M starting this afternoon.  He'll be done Wed. evening.

Prayers for all who need them.  Have a great Monday.

Hi everyone!

Currently since I'm only 2 weeks out of surgery, I'm moving it moving it with only walking.  However, my favorite exercises are the stair mill and yoga which I haven't been able to do for a year because of a foot injury.  Hoping with a little less weight, that my foot will be feeling much better and I can get back on that stair mill and back in the yoga studio.  And, looking forward to being able to lift weights again too soon.

This weekend was good, although I had a recurrence of pain that I haven't had since day 2 after surgery yesterday and spent most of the day yesterday pretty comatose due to pain meds.  Today woke up and pain is gone, so I'm hoping that was the last of it!

Today, I'm going to cherish more of the time with my mom since she is here "caring"  for me after surgery (caring in quotes because I've ended up taking care for her a lot more than she has for me due to her illness).  She is very ill with diabetes and has been for sometime so I'm loving having her here and getting to soak up more mom time while I have it!

Well, have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning family! Hope everyone had a great weekend! My son spent Saturday and most of Sunday with us, we had a nice time.

Most of my move it, move it is spent in the garden! I love working out in it. We ate squash yesterday that I picked on Saturday! I will have loads of tomatoes and cukes before you know it and my peppers are not too shabby either. I pulled lots of weeds and my back is feeling it for sure today! A trip to the Chiro might just be in order if it doesn't work itself out!

My daughter was telling me that she got the Personal Trainer "game" for her Wii. It doesn't require the whole Wii Fit program, but she said it really kicks her booty and customizes your workouts for you. She said it even gripes at you for not doing what you are suposed to!! Sounds like what i need!!

I have an appt. with a Gastroenterologist Thursday morning. I think a scope is in my future. My tummy is still not right. I had another episode Saturday. Wave of nausea, light-headed and dizzy and just a general "ill" feeling. Wasn't able to eat more than about 3 or 4 bites of food. Also, every time I have that feeling, my BP is way higherr than normal.???? Could be a stricture could be an ulcer, I really don't know! But I sure wanna find out!

Prayers and hugz for all those in need!!

Love yall,
Gina L

Good morning Alissa.  My weekend was good.  Saturday night was my "play night."  I spent the whole night out with a friend.  Yesterday, my son made me feel really special.  After church, I got into some deep cleaning in my room.  Tonight, I will finish my room, and one room in the house at a time each day this week.

I have to confess... I have not been moving much either.  I can come up with all kinds of excuses... but the fact of the matter is... I HAVE JUST BEEN LAZY!!!  My house is top priority... but next week, I will start back to the gym even if it is just for 30 to 45 minutes..... On second thought... I can't put it off anymore.  If it is not raining today... I will go for a walk around the neighborhood today... tomorrow is out... but Wednesday, I am going to get back to the gym.  I have GOT to stop making excuses.

I am going to call and set up my fitness consultation in a few minutes.  No more putting it off.  Thanks for bringing it up.  I will start off just using the treadmill and bike, but I plan to advance to the stair stepper and water aerobics soon.  I have also been advised to start a yoga class as a beginning.  I think that will be interesting.

Hey You Guys!

Started my morning with an ARD meeting. Not a great way to start a week.

I had a really good weekend. We bought a horse on Saturday. Yesterday Chase came in with a card and an angel with my name engraved on it. Kaylee cooked breakfast for me. Afterwards Dirk and I had to run some errands in town. He took me to Starbucks on the way. Then he fixed a ton of food and had the family over. He made pork chops, steak, chicken, hamburgers, sausage, baked potatoes, corn on the cob and texas toast. Anytime I'd try to help he shoed me out of the kitchen. Kaylee made a cake that was to die for.

We bought Chico this weekend. He is a dark brown quarter horse that's about 16 hands high. Not too big but big enough. He was being boarded by some folks who neglected him. When the previous owners found him he was skin and bones. He had no feed, grass or water even though it was the middle of July in Texas.  When he got brought home he was introduced to an automatic waterer- he just stood there like it was the most amazing act of science ever invented. The first day they couldn't feed him because his stomach was so full of water. It's taken him almost a year to get him healthy again. Last night when I went out to feed him he ran up through the pasture like I was the most interesting person in the world. He came up and let me pet, talk and love on him. This is without opening the feed room even. Once the feed room got opened he waited his turn to get his bucket. I always fill the buckets and make them wait on me to give it to them. This shows dominance (ie - I am in control of the food supply). If you can show them who's boss during feed time then hopefully they will somewhat respect you in the pasture. Being bulldozed by a 1500lb animal is not a great plan. He just stood around and waited on me like a gentleman. Sometime in the next few days we will introduce him to the "girls". Right now he is in the front pasture and they are in the back. Foxy is the head of the pecking order. It will be interesting to see how it works out between he and Darby. Darby is my horse pretty much- she can be a drama queen (imagine! lol). We bought Chico for Bailey and she put him through the paces in the arena. Her last horse was older and needed some firmness to get her through the patterns. Bailey is now used to having to rein hard. Chico didn't seem to like that but he did exactly what Bailey asked of him. I am hoping that tonite I have enough time to saddle him and see what I can get him to do. I am a lot more gentle but less experienced. So it will be an interesting ride I'm sure. I need to get his Coggins papers so they can try him out at the rodeo on Saturday. I may take him to the vet tonite instead.

Gotta get going!
Love you guys!
Tracey
