I will just be glad when I am feeling well enough to sleep good. Last night I finally wedged myself on my side for a bit, which helped my back, but woke up on my back, so it is not a happy camper today.
Other than that shall see what the day has in store for me.

Today is going to be a good day for sure. I've got lots of work to do, then I'm going to head over to church to do some volunteer work there. We're having a marriage seminar on Sunday and I get to put together all of the booklets. Have to hit the grocery store on the way home to pick up a few essentials, then maybe unpack a box or two when I get home.
I'm totally loving my new office here at the new place. I have my work desk set up in front of the window so I get to enjoy watching the duck, birds, and all the people walking down the canal during the day. The dogs got another chance to sniff a duck yesterday. It ended up loosing a couple of feathers when it tried to nibble on Leo.
OK, off to be productive. I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Hola! I miss you all!
Let's see,,, Kaylee's prom dress is bought, as well as her shoes, jewelry, and mask. Stage 2 of the chicken coop is in order. It's a little wobbley but it's upright. It needs somemore brackets as the ones I bought aren't very strong. I think that once I get the wire wrapped around and a door added then it will be ok. I also want to paint it. What color do you paint a chicken house??? lol If the weather stays nice then we may be able to buy chickens by next weekend. I'm not sure if I want baby chicks that we can tame (somewhat) or if I want older hens so that we can start with the eggs already. decisions decisions.....
Tonite is the FFA Banquet. I am hoping that Kaylee gets a scholarship. She has defintely earned it.
The insurance ppl are coming out to look at the roof. We have a skylight in the bathroom that leaks during heavy downpoors. Dirk told me last night that they would have to come into the bathroom to actually see it. Yikes! After the potty fiasco last weekend I still hadn't picked up all the tools, so at 11pm last night I was cleaning the bathroom.
Prayers for Charlene and family. Prayers for David and family. Prayers and thanksgiving for Jenny and Erik. Prayers for Michelle and family.
Gotta get to work! Love you guys!!! (mean it!)

One of my best childhood memories was getting that box of baby chicks in the mail each spring.... I know the feed store down the road from my house has them for sale now... but way back when, they came in the mail.... LOL
Why not get some of each? Chicks for raising, hens for eggs?
As for the color of the hen house, ours was old and dilapidated and weathered... I don't think it ever saw a lick of paint in it's life time.... Would you paint it red like most barns? I figure it's your hen house, you can paint whatever color you like, I'm sure the hens wouldn't care one way or the other, LOL
