FINALLY, SOME GOOD NEWS!!!!!
You know, it is True that God will not give you more than you can handle. I have not been taking care of myself lately. I have nobody at home that will help me take care of my two children, so I have been pushing myself to do it without getting the rest that my body is telling me I need to get. I don't know how much longer that I can keep it up.
As many of you know, my husband was laid off the last day of September. I was on his insurance. His company typed up a lay-off package for all of the employees. It said that insurance would end the last day of employment. Yes, I was on HIS insurance. I had already hit my maximum out of pocket with this company. That means that surgery would have been paid for at 100%. I found out that they were wrong. They are supposed to cover you for 30days afterwards. (Probably to give employees enough time to get signed up for COBRA if they choose) I still have insurance though 10/30. I have insurance with my company now, but that means that I will have to start over again with my max out of pocket after 10/30.
When I went out on leave from my job, I called Dr Provost's office to let them know that I had to stop working. The nurse changed my follow-up appoingment from the beginning of November to 10/21. This is where he was to see if the things that he advised me to do helped, or if he was going to reverse my RYGB. If he decides to reverse it, they are booking out about a month for surgery. (Too late for me to use hubby's insurance....)
While struggling with family and health problems, I was beginning to believe I wasn't going to make it. My boss has let me know in her own way that my job will not be secure as soon as my FMLA runs out in the beginning of December. I called Dr Provost's office three days ago, at her sugestion to see if there was ANY way that I could go ahead and set up my reversal surgery. If he didn't think I needed it, I could always cancel it, but I could go ahead and get on the month long waiting list. She wants me back at work.
The nurse called me back today. (First she let me know that she had to talk to my Short Term Disability Insurance Company because they wanted more information than she could provide seeing how I was a new patient to them.) I was falling apart and started crying. I told her that I was calling to see if I could go ahead and set up my surgery. She told me that we had to get it approved with insurance first, and she would call me as soon as that was done. I went through the explanation of my insurance situation and gave her my insurance info through my work.
I went back to watching my daughter and trying to get some things picked up around the ghouse. I started to fall apart. God told Satan, "ENOUGH!!!!!!" My phone rang. I couldn't get to it in time, so I had a voicemail. It was Skylar from Dr Provost's office. She said caller as soon as I could because she had some good news. I immediatly called her back.
INSURANCE APPROVED MY SURGERY!!!!!!!! Even better..... SHE SCHEDULED MY SURGERY FOR 10/23!!!! (This means that it will be paid for at 100%. Thank you God. Thank you everyone for your continued prayers. Please continue to pray that I will be approved for my short term disability and that my surgery goes well. This is a dangerous surgery so I will need prayers. Man, GOD IS GOOD!!!!
