Obedient October B2B Saturday

The weekend is always a challenge being off routine.  If you get off track, at least get in your water/liquids, vitamins and supplements and protein.  That helps counterbalance anything higher carb/fat you put in your mouth.  Don't blow it all the way around.

Plan for today:

working on liquids trying to reach 100+ oz. as usual, Atkins shake, protein coffee, leftover pork for lunch, roast beef w/ roasted potatoes and carrots and sauteed cabbage for dinner

What's your plan to be successful?

Morning Karla,

You and I might be the only ones here. I know Steph is on the road.  Today will be a challenge for me as well being at my folks.  But I will do my best.  At the mercy of Moms, and now Dads' cooking.  He just came in and wants to make me breakfast.  So we will be see.

I'm here ... got up this morning and was debating on whether or not to go get my fill this morning.  I decided to wait alittle while longer to see if I can do this on my own.....  I'm only 12lbs from goal and really don't want to pay $150 for a fill when I really just need a small tweak.  I keep telling myself I should be able to do this... but the scale just keeps bouncing around the same 2-3lbs for the past 2 months.   I just have to FOCUS!!!!!!!!

Plan for today:
B: yogurt/kashi
L: soup
S: protein bar or shake
D:fish and salad

GM KARLA and BECKY!! If not for the OO thread being forefront in my mind, yesterday would not have gone very well. As it was, I had PLANNED, do the day was not as TERRIBLE as the STRESS could have been my EXCUSE for it to me. I ate what  I had taken, in my bag and did even did well at the AWFUL football game ( we lost..can ya tell??). A longtime friend of mine, also a post RNY, surprised me with a chili dog..ot the greatest choice..and not on my "plan"..but couldn't "hurt her feelings"..right?...I ate half the weiner and half the bread..She ate all of her hers, and couldnt help but notice what I had done. That got us to talkiing. She wants to lose about 20-40 lbs. I'm getting with her tomorrow to explain "back to basics". She's 4 yrs out, and it'll sure help me too. You just never know who's watching you eat!   Today is a simple laid back day--having protein in coffee now...Peeewee Homecoming dame at noon-have beef jerky in my purse already (no chili dogs!)...planning steak dinner out somewhere early this evening and shakes to "make up" the rest of my protiein--and my vitamins and ever presen****er bottle, of course!! Calories don't take a day off and I can't either--been doing THAT way too often!!!

PS  Hi PAIGE!!! We must have been posting at the same time!

Yesterday was another good day.  Our Friday night dinner group all piled in to our neighbor's big SUV and drove up the coast to Charlotte Plummer's on Fulton Beach for dinner.  Patrick and I split a broiled seafood platter.  It was a beautiful night to eat dinner overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.

Today's plan:

Coffee
B - Open face Egg sandwich on sourdough with provolone
L - Turkey chili with salad
D - Undecided, we may be going out with friends

Protein shakes and bars on standby in case I need a snack.

Go out and make it a great day.

MMMmmm...I love Charlotte Plummers.  I have their shrimp gumbo recipe.  It's good.  It has a gazillion ingredients though.  It's got tomato stuff in it.  I like Dana's style made w/ roux better nowadays.

You know, I'm very particular about Gumbo so I've never tried it there.  I had the Chicken Tortilla Soup.  It was delicious.

My son-in-law is from Louisiana so she's learned to make gumbo from his mom.  It also starts with a roux and is delicious.

Hey Karla,

I have had a great week of eating and plan on continuing this weekend;

I have had two cups of coffee, sweet/low and creamer
B-Crab cake and steamed veggie (left overs from last night)
L-Will be at the show; but might have jerky or almonds, purchasing snacks before the show!! and of course two water bottles
D-Turkey Chili w/ Cheese and onions
S-protein drink

Can someone tell me again whick market carries the Acheve Protein drinks...OMG I love them...I think the lady said Central MKT (??)

Rice Epicurean on Westheimer in Houston carries them, but I don't know if they have those in Dallas.  I started just drinking the Atkins low carb shakes...it's as good or better than AchievOne and 1/2 the price for same 15 g. protein.
