Friday WLS express
What a reflective day in so many ways. I too remember exactly what I was doing 8 years ago. Driving to work and hearing about a plane. By the time I got to work, we knew it was something tragic. There was no work done for days on end. All I wanted to do was get Emm from school and take her someplace safe. So at lunch, I picked her up and we went to church to pray. The hardest thing to realize now is that since she was only 6 at the time, she will never know a life feeling safe. Being able to walk home alone; catching a flight without stripping down; a life without unknown and unseen survelliance of so many parts of our lives. She remembers that day well and that's sad to me.
Okay, trying not to cry anymore! My plan for the weekend is to focus on my closet and my desk in my bedroom. Both need the full two days to get organized. I've been putting it off far too long.
Emm has a day long retreat with the other two confirmands to work on their faith statements. In just over a month, my baby will be confirmed.
Prayers for all hurting physically, financially and just emotionally. I know there are many of us in this situation. Helpless feeling to not be where you should be in so many parts of our lives but we are not sure where we should be.
Back to work. Blessings to all and GOD BLESS AMERICA.

forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could be any different
Sound familiar? That's me right now. This week has been one of turmoil, frustration, stress and, for once, none of it caused by me. [*faint*] It's made me think about the word "discouragement". That is the opposite of encouragement.
To 'dis' somebody is to talk badly about them.
Then, I looked at the root word - courage. Put it together, and discouragement means we talk badly about our courage. Ouch!
Between the two, today I'm choosing courage.
On 9/11 of all days, may today be one of peace, prosperity and hope.
Good Morning OH Family!
It's been a busy couple of days. Rick had his foot surgery yesterday. He is doing well, but in a lot of pain today. I hate that I had to leave him yesterday and today and go to work, but he is in the recliner with his drugs he should be ok. Yesterday was a difficult day for me, Mark would have been 51 yesterday and Rick's surgery and work. I remember very well what I was doing on Sept 11th. I had just started working for the International Exchange Program and we had several American students headed for other countries and were diverted to Canada. Trying to find out where they were in route to and trying to calm parents and staying calm ourselves.Well gotta go get Rick something for lunch and get ready for work. It's been raining really hard here yesterday and today. This weekend is just going to be work and being lazy. I'm going to try and find out at work tonight how much the Ron White tickets are. I already told them at work that I would like off that night. I really need some peep time so one night I'm off work next week would love to get a group together to meet for dinner. Mon or Tues night? Have I told you lately how much your loved?!!
Your loved!
