Ok any experience anything like this. My left foot is not sore or swollen, but I am having problems actually lifting ( only the foot) i have to tell my brain to lift up the foot to walk , I can flex it downward but not move it upward at all. This has been going on for a few days, I really noticed when my sandal wouldnt stay on plus I have have noticed when I walk i have been having to actually lift it up.

Jen - hi.  Nice to meet you.  Do you have neuropathy in your legs?  Your description sounds like something similar to me, except it was my right thigh muscle that simply would NOT lift up.  Side to side or back, sure.  But not up.  There was numbness originally (that started in my feet), but it's since turned into muscle spasms as the nerves contract them.  Quite painful, actually.

I'd suggest contacting your doctor, if you haven't already.

Good luck!

When was the last time you had your labs checked.  Vitamin deficiencies can definately cause those symptoms.

Jen get your labs drawn.  B-1 and B-12 pronto.  It's foot drop and caused by vitamin B deficiency usually for US.  I had it very early out (like 2 months out) and had my labs drawn.

Is it like you can't figure out the distance between your foot (feet) and the floor?  Don't wait, start taking extra B-12 and thiamine today.  I saw a difference within 2-3 days when I added the B-1 and extra B-12.

I agree its a vitamin B1 deficiency. I had it two months post op and now I have to take shots twice a day to get my B1 up. Have your labs drawn asap!
