July Journey Monday
Mine was okay...could have made better choices. It seems I plan my food the past few days and then change what I'm doing that day, which in turn changes my food plan! I had 2 pieces of catfish and some red beans/rice from Popeyes after church instead of my grilled chicken/asparagus...Guess which would have been the BETTER choice? I however, wasn't home to eat the chicken. Then Ben made homemade pizza for supper. At least it had protein on it! I gave the crust edge to the dog...
Today's plan:
at least 2 protein drinks
lots of liquids
bbq grilled chicken and asparagus for lunch
got to thaw for dinner

Well, my first attempt at the 5dpt was a huge failure. Didn't make it past 3pm. I'm trying again today. This time I hope I can stick to my plan. I have decided to do a protein shake every 2-1/2 hours instead of waiting 3 hours. Yesterday, I just got too hungry and lost control.

Thanks for the great input/advise. I really do appreciate it. I do have some chicken broth and some tomatoe basil soup.

Time for true confessions. I've been making horrible decisions about my food for quite some time now. I have put back on about 15 pounds. My size 12 pants are uncomfortably tight. I have to get back on track or my azz is going to be the size of Texas again. So now is the time and today is the day - I'm getting back on track today.
Started my day with coffee.
Breakfast 2 small scoops of Greek yogurt, 10 cherries and a handful of almonds.
Lunch will be grilled chicken with summer squash.
Afternoon snack will be a protein shake.
Dinner will be whatever the book club hostess serves tonight and NO DESSERT!
I'm committed to purging the sugar from my diet starting today. If I can get the sugar under control I'll be doing so much better. Unfortunately, I don't usually dump unless I eat a lot of sugar. I can eat a little, then wait a while and eat a little more. I've got to stop doing that.
So my July Journey goal is to get off of sugar by the end of July. Wish me luck!

I am sure that you can get those 15 pounds back off and you are committed to do it. I do like Cruisin Julie and got rid of any size larger than what I thought was okay, so I know when it's tight, it has to come off because I won't have anything to wear.
Sugar be gone! I just got some new stuff at HEB called Ideal and it's awesome. It looks just like sugar, much more grainy and is cheaper than Splenda and their version of splenda as well.

RNY revision from lapband 7/30/07...TT/BL 10/9/08 and at GOAL
I have changed up my menu a bit and am bringing baked chicken (the Sam's stuffed with mushroom ones), peas, cucumber salad and pineapple for lunch. Breakfast is Special K protein plus cereal with Mootopia. I think i'm getting enough protein. Not sure about dinner yet. That's where I get in trouble.
I seem to be okay at home but I have some more vacation away time coming and that's where I get into trouble. I will just have to plan better.
