OT - Dirt Track Racing

Many of you know that King races a dirt track stock car and have asked about where and when etc.

Tonight we are going to Kennedale Speedway Park.  This is the nicest dirt track facility in the area and very fan friendly.

They are having some kind of "Trailer Race" tonight which should be interesting to say the least.  They have a full service concession stand, alcoholic beverages are allowed (no glass containers) and handicap accessible.  And I believe they have "candy call" for kids every week.

Just throwing it out there for those who have asked.

JODIE-you mean to tell me there are TWO dirt tracks in Kennedale???????? Will wonders never cease....I truly had no idea....I'll tell the guys...don't be surprised if they show up..What car is King racing/sponsoring/cheering for/whatever???

Yes two dirt tracks, plus the drag strip.  KSP is literally next door to Cowtown.

Richard and Corbin are both working right now-will sure tell when they get home-betcha they'll be there. What time do the gates open?

D think the gates open at 5. I know they start at 7 and have a midnight curfew because some dumb ppl built houses next to a racetrack! LOL

My daughter and I used to go out to the OKC Speedway every Friday night back in the 90's, etc before moving to DAllas in 2002...........................We miss that. 

Phyllis, my love - I can count about 8 dirt tracks within a 75 mile radius of Dallas that race on Saturday nights and 2 within 50 miles that race on Friday nights.  And we can usually be found at one of them either or both nights March thru October.

I was hoping the site would have a 'click her" map... where is Kennedale.... how long does it take to get there
