I'm new and looking to find out all I can about WLS and the local Dr.s here in my city that do this surgery.
Anyone had their surgery done in Abilene Texas?? If so details please~

I live in San Angelo but I have had a pt that went to a doctor in Abilene and it wasn't very good.  I will try to find out who he is.  I'm a military spouse and am going to Wilford Hall in San Antonio.  I'll see if I can find out who the doc is on Monday from our referral office because they have had a lot of complaints on one doctor there.  I certainly don't want to discourage you but maybe really check into who you are wanting to do your surgery.  

I am in Abilene and I had my surgery at Baylor in Dallas. I would NOT use a doctor here, even my primary doctor said whatever you do don't have it done here. I know several people that have had it done here though. Look at my friends list for Michelle I think it may be chellemg on here. She had hers done here and she can probably answer all your questions. I think hers was done around March.
